Hi, Kinda new here, have had a 3G for about a month now and really want a case for it, was hoping for some recommendations. I have a cheap one someone gave me,silicone, don't use it though as it gathers dust & lint on the screen while in my pocket. I'm also looking for one that's not too bulky, and in the neighborhood of 30 $ or less. As far as colors go, black or blue would be cool. I hear the Otterbox Defender is nice ? Any help is appreciated
any opinions on the Otterbox Commuter ? http://www.amazon.com/OtterBox-Commuter-Case-iPhone-Blue/dp/B002PK13GS/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1281626743&sr=8-15 thinking of going with this or the Defender.... ---
The Otterbox looks too fat to me. I think now that I've used the RebelTouch I won't be able to go back to anything else.
iPhone 3G? If so, I have the Capsule Rebel which is a fantastic case. It is $25 and comes with a load of other stuff. There also lots of color options. The only disadvantage is that it is a pain to remove and put back on your phone. Edit: Looks like Midian beat me to the punch
Thanks for the responses/help .... The RebelTouch does look good too, so it's a better choice than the OtterBox then ? And thanks for the welcome as well LordVader.
Best one out there hands down , IMHO I have the blk one and love the protection that this case gives the phone !
They are both great cases, I'd say it comes down to your personal preference. The ottetbox is going to offer better protection, but also make the phone bulkier. The Rebel slides in and out of your pocket easily, looks really sleek, and isn't all that thick but is a pain to disassemble and reassemble as well offering inferior protection to the otterobx (although my phone has not gotten a scrath with it on). The otterbox is cheaper right now on amazon but the Rebel comes with a lot of extras for five extra bucks.
So it sounds as if both the OBC & the CR are top of the line...and i'm having trouble picking Does one tend to collect lint in a pocket more / harder to clean ? They both look nice, and seem to be protective of the phone, and are closely priced. I want to order one asap, so am now hoping for any input on which is better overall... Again, thanks
I use three and usually switch every few weeks or so since I get bored. The Incase Slider case, DLO Jam Jacket, and Ideal Case Bubble Series are the current ones I'm using, all are great.
I've got the black and red Rebel and it's great. It definitely adds bulk to the phone, but not so much that it'll bulge out of your pocket or anything. I'm not sure about the Otterbox and it's protection level, but it can't possibly be higher than the level of protection that the Rebel provides. I toss my phone around like it's made of steel and pretty much don't give a shit what happens to it. Also, don't really listen to those people that say it takes too long to get off. You can take it off easily in ten seconds, and I frequently do it just for the hell of it. It's a habit. Pros: looks awesome can't possibly protect any more easy in and out of pocket easy access to all buttons doesn't add much size to phone comes with a stand and a dust cover for the bottom dock (lost both of these ) cons: have to remove case to put into speakers or a dock (not the regular charger, but the big dock thing) the rubber part takes some work to kind of work it in over the home button and volume Overall the case is awesome. The mix of rubber/hard plastic skeleton protects the phone while nestling it in the softer inside, so no scratches or anything like that on your phone. You can't go wrong. Side story: I was at my friends house one day and I took the case off to play music out of his speakers. I accidentally left it there. Went to school the next day, he had the case on his phone. It took a great deal of fighting to get him to give it back to me. So I guess that proves how good the case is.
