They don't need to do anything. Most game companies in the world work the way they are working right now. However, a few companies out there post a steady stream of videos, pictures, blogs, and status updates about games while they're still in development. This helps build a sense of attachment and anticipation about the games which increases the level of excitement for them. In a perfect world, ngmoco would be one of these companies that did that. If they were, I wouldn't mind any delays, because not only would I have an understanding of why there was a delay, but I'd be able to see the direct results that delay has on the quality of the game. As it is, they've had huge delays for both of these games and no explanation. I find that irritating, as do many other people.
For me, yes. And it isn't even that it bothers me all that much. It is just a little irritating. I understand perfectly that the reason for the delays is almost certainly because the games aren't ready yet, and I'd rather they take time to release a polished game than rush out something unfinished. I just think they're making a mistake being distant and uncommunicative about the games, rather than engaging the community.
They're just perfecting their games. Making them smooth. Have you ever wondered why ngmoco was an excellent company? Because of their game's polish, length, quality, controls, and gameplay. They like getting things done perfect. This paragraph is the dumbest thing I've heard in my entire life:
Not for this reason, but I do have a slightly negative viewpoint on ngmoco because they made 2 games I bought free (topple and dropship)
I never really cared for Ngmoco... most of their games don't appeal to me, however I am quite excited about LiveFire (or is it still KillTest?) and hope it comes out soon. I voted 'Yes' mostly because I never really liked them in the first place.
