a lot of people bring up pricing as a turnoff for big developers though the appstore is a game of demand vs price you could sell a game for $10 dollars and sell a few copies but is more likely to sell 10x as many copies if you sell for $1 dollar. the key is finding the perfect price in between to maximize price*(copies sold). the idevices are also a lot easier to develop for and it only costs $100 to get a developers license to put games in the appstore and developers get 70% of their sales which i assume is a much better deal than with large consoles or nintendo and sony handhelds were they have to pay for marketing, packaging, and push their games through the game company and into retail stores

I still think they should get 85 percent ESP big time devs that apple doesn't have to pay exclusivity rights to but show up because of interest or whatever reasons. Sony and Microsoft take a lot less of a cut and even have to pay exclusivity rights. Apple doesn't even make it's own games.

I pretty much use my iPad just for games, web surfing, and sometimes blogging or ebooks. What else can u really do on it since it doesn't have flash or software like Photoshop final cut etc.? It's as much of a game system as the psp that was always marketed for music or movies and the mud only failed because movies failed not games on it thats how much Sony backed it as a multi median device.

But so did twisted metal on psp and it cost 30 bucks. And un.Ike the majority of psp games and all ds games, idevices often have updates and downloadable content.

Well I haven't really had my ipod touch all that long but I've got software to do pretty much everything I can think off, including photoshop type apps, office suites, music studios, irc chat clients, messengers, remote desktop control, the entire wikipedia and DJ mixing software.

And that's really the essence of why I bought one nothing else has all that functionality in my pocket as a games machine it's not perfect but the fact it's in my pocket all the time means it does get played it's probably the most all round useful device I've owned yet.

It'd easy to send attachments just cut and paste the file into the mail app also it's built into a few of the apps I have like quickoffice and pdf reader.
Not sure if that comment was directed at me but I've already sent attachments a few times from my ipod.

I'm sure I could upload photos as well if I had a need to.

You can copy multiple files at once although from my quick test there (never needed to send more than one) you can select five at a time using cut and paste and I also looked in quick office which granted few people will have and it allows me to select as many items as I like to send.

I also had a brief look into uploading photos to sites and you are probably limited to apps there but there seems to be plenty of them for each of the different sites I just grabbed myself "Imageshack Free" on the offchance I'll ever want to.

I agree. With convenience, and now the power to do high quality games, i think its only a matter of time develoopers find ways to work around the iphone and itouch controls issue. but it is the ipad that has the biggest potential gamewise to take on full console gaming
