I've slowed down considerably, but I've been buying console games a lot more now. I think that might be the reason I've slowed down. A few of the console games I've gotten have made me less interested in their lesser handheld counterparts/equivalents.
I still buy tons. I like to try out innovative new games, and the rate at which you find these gems on the App Store is incredible.
I haven't stopped buying, but I'm a very smart shopper now as far as which apps I choose to buy. Rarely buy a bad game anymore, for every $20 I spend maybe $2 at most are wasted on something that wasn't that good. Not a bad ratio. I'm still not sick of the iphone game scene yet, although I'm sure there will come a point where I will be. For now the creative games keep coming so I keep checking them out. At the same time I've slowed down on buying console games considerabley, the $60 game prices has me doing much more review reading and buying much less console games. I get the feeling I'm not the only one as far as that goes.
Have spent exactly 0$ on apps forthe past 5 months. Although I have probably recieved 200$ worth in promo codes from developers Yikes
I only got my iPod Touch at the very beginning of January so I have a lot of games to catch up on plus new games that are coming out... I am very picky about what I buy (not mention second guessing myself when I click the buy button), so so far I've only bought a couple of bad games. Pretty good odds I think.
I hear ya, iTunes is like a drug and hard to stay away from. When I'm not on iTunes I'm here at toucharcade. I absolutly have a serious problem when it comes to my iPhone and can't stop buying games. I wAnt more
Nah I always buy! Maybe if you don't buy anymore til September, get the newest iPod available by which time, the standard of games will be much higher and you may change your view.
I slowed down. I mean, how many games can you play on one device at the same time, when you also use the device for tv shows, web, twitter, mail and have about 2.500 Perry Rhodan books saved in Stanza . So Im currently waiting for price drops and lite versions for many games and I keep games like Giana Sisters or Galaxy on Fire on my device, which I still havent finished. Overall, I currently have 20 games on my iPhone, with FFI and PvZ being the most recent purchases. And I have another 16 games on hold for the iPad, like Broken Sword and Battle for Wesnoth, which I already bought. Overall, Im currently filled with good games and I want to finish them instead of jumping to the next game which I would play for 5% and then jump to the next and so on. I also noticed that while I like FPS and racing games etc, I prefer more slower paced games on this device. But I wonder, how much my gaming beaviour will change when I use the iPad .
iv slowed down too. playing catch up. aww but i keep going to gta.. so maybe im just addicted to gta and when i get board with it ill start searching, and who knows maybe another gta title will hit the store chris.
I've also cut back considerably. I've just been adding everything to my wishlist at appshopper so I don't forget about them. unfortunately you just have to put games on the backburner sometimes. but the upside to that, is that when you do decide to buy a new game, there are many good ones to choose from. not like the old days where you'd cross your fingers and buy a game hoping that it was good. PVZ, Gianna Sisters, Chalkboard Stunts, and Angry Birds are my most recent purchases.
I buy sporadically, anything that piques my interest generally results in a purchase. I'm a TD fan at heart too, so a well received TD game is a definite buy. I ignore anything that starts with 'i' (like iGame Name) and anything that includes the current trend; zombies, doodles etc.
Yeh I've sort of lost interest in getting new games. I've just been playing the same ones and they're great. Orions and BeatRider are practically the only ones I've been playing for the last 2 months.
