I really don't think that 99% of players give a damn about the main character being black. Seriously. I'm white and as far removed from 'The Ghetto' as it's possible to be but I loved San Andreas. I think we're all adult enough to like / dislike games on their own merits rather than it being a race issue. I don't like Tomb Raider but that doesn't mean I'm sexist. And I love playing as Trevor in GTA V, but that doesn't mean I'm a psychopathic, unhinged sociopath...
Please don't use the race card. Vice city was the game which really blew people away. I'm not an Italian mafiosi or a Chinese triad member so I couldn't 'relate' to them in the game but its a game and I loved it Can't wait to play San Andreas as I've never played that before. But throwing out the race card time and time again makes it more difficult when there is actual racism going on
I never completed GTA SA. First one I finished was Lost and the Damned then Gay Tony then IV then V - have played but not completed the others. I reached some point where the entire map was unlocked but was busy with school and never got around to finishing off the missions. The lack of checkpoints were always pretty annoying too. So I look forward to playing a perfected version with that feature ON A PORTABLE DEVICE
I responded to someone who labeled san andreas as the worst gta game, once u play it and then you will see how good it is and how weird it is for someone to label it the worst in the series, im simply defending the game
@psj - omg you will love San Andreas. Just get into the game! Forget everything else. Just immerse yourself in that era of the 90's
You said 'i bet its because the main players black' ? I doubt that was the reason at all. All because someone prefers GTA III and Vice City over San Andreas does not make them a racist or 'its because the main player is black'. Thats totally ridiculous. Lots of people prefer the first GTA they played for the first time, Vice City to me is an all time classic plus playing it now brings back memories of the summer i got the game and then was addicted to it ! Bit like people who like retro games over similar games with stunning graphics, i much prefer a retro style. But at the end of the day we're all here as we cant wait to play SA on our devices, cant wait
Exactly at the end of the day we all cant wait to play this game, i toned down my comment since it was a bit too extreme, i still think labeling it as the worst is pretty weird though haha
No worries. I'm looking forward to playing it as i never have ! Still play Vice City a lot but lately just for quick bursts to see how many stars i can get while i stay away from the police. Freed up lots of space ready for SA, i like old skool rap so i hope that features heavily in it
I wonder how much space it will take up but it will be worth it, i miss being able to recruit gang members and walking them into rival territory that made for some awesome gang wars
Vice City Stories from PSP also had a black person as the main character, and I don't think anyone was set apart from the game because of that...
