GTA iphone finally confirmed

I wouldn't expect it before the PSP version; we don't even know how long this has been in development.

 

Looking forward to this. Gangstar is fun but I have no doubt that a real GTA will be even better.

Awesome, gonna be one of my favorite games(hopefully) when it comes out. I hope its like 25-30 bucks so that all you that are cheaptards have to actually pay for something.

 

I doubt they have to tweak it that much for the iphone. The DS already has touch controls... they just do away with the second screen by changing it into a pop up map screen instead.

Isn't the DS also less powerful than the iphone so they probably won't even need to do that much optimising.

This is Rockstar here too... so they won't be bothered about making it look as nice as it possibly can on the iphone... they will just repackage the DS version and ship it out. Their main interest is recouping all the money that was lost from chinatown wars DS mediocre sales.

 

Or they could just jailbrake like me: motto- when they flush you out, get the product by any means necessary

That's how I feel. Although Gangstar is a great game, GTA CW will still be much better.

I would. The PSP version was started a month or so after the original release for the DS. No kidding. It's not 3D, it's the same thing but with improved graphics, and more side missions. I hope we do get that one for iPhone.

For anyone who doubts the graphics will be tweaked to improve from the DS release, think about the resolution for a moment. Since Rockstar is making a version specifically to work on the iPhone, they'll have to change the resolution (since the iPhone's screen is wider and a bit bigger). I think since they'll have to do that, they might give us a little extra while they tweak it. What I mean is, I think this is coming out after, or around the same time, as the PSP's version for a reason.
