I will almost definitely be purchasing GTA: CW for the iPhone just as I bought Payback, CJS, and Gangstar. Therefore if the game is similar to the PSP/DS version than there is no need for me to purchase the same game twice. If the iPhone version doesn't live up to it predecessor's then I'll purchase it for the PSP also and by that time it could already be a greatest hit and only cost $19.99.
i've posted about this earlier in the thread, but i believe they're purposefully holding back on the iphone for just that reason. once the price drops come in on the other handhelds, the lower price tag in the app store will be justified and they will go ahead with the release.
I'm wondering ... Robocalypse is also on the DS and was quite well received as far as i know and they released it on the iPhone for less than 10$ .... Well anyway i don't believe that Rockstar would release the game without releasing some screenshots or videos beforehand so i wouldn't expect the game to be out too soon.

http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/GTA%3A+Chinatown+Wars+%28iPhone%29/news.asp?c=17100 I don't think this has been posted yet, but supposedly when asked directly about Chinatown Wars on the iPhone, Rockstar refused to comment or reconfirm a 2009. Of course, seeing how the App submission process works, they might just be refusing to promise things that are out of their control. At the very least though, Rockstar seems to be less enthusiastic or open about the iPhone port than their other games or other developers with their iPhone games. I'll still hope for a Dec 22 launch though, Tuesday on the third week of the month like previous Chinatown Wars launches, just in time for Christmas.
Sorry, i couldn't get any infomation, the guys said they were in testing department and have no informations about there upcoming games. People even asked them about there new "Red Dead Redemption" which i already pre-ordered and they had no infomation of any sort. To be Honest there were just in for the game.
I just bought the psp version and it's awesome, better than the liberty and vice city stories imo. I think they are delaying the iphone port until the sony version is no longer selling. I feel that we could have had this by now and many other great games had we shown that we are willing to pay more than 9.99 for premium games.
thats a good point agent orange, its the first time a true AAA port title will be coming to iphone, and therefore it would seem a bit unfair to ds and psp owners if itouch got the exact full polished game for what would be a third of the price.
