Yes, it can. The game runs at around 30-60 fps right now. What are you on?

GUYS! 1ST GEN IPHONES ARE THE ONLY REASON THE GRAPHICS ARE SOOOOOOO BAD. IF THIS WAS A 3GS ONLY GAME, THE GRAPHICS WOULD HAVE LEFT EVEN THE PS2 BEHIND LONG AGO. (Im not kidding, i used actual facts. the statement i just made is actually 100% true.)

AND THE SCREENIES ARE FROM NOVEMBER! LOOK AT THE VIDEO! THE GFX ARE MUCH BETTER IN THE VID!!!!!!!!!!!

remember the first asphault 5 screenshots? Glossy finish that turned out to be a arcade racer. I hope they really, really polish this game.

I just have deleted Assfault 5 and reinstalled Ferrari GT, the physics in A5 are too lame. There is no reason to use the break, in no way the courses curves are challenging! The landing after a huge jump is complete messed up. It's all stupid repeadetly nitro button smashing. It's so sad :( I really like the graphics of A5, and the gameplay vids of GT Racing seems to have the same quality, I hope the game has better physics!

I do realize that it's not an arcade game, but just wanted to say, Gameloft fu**ed up the physics in their last arcade racer, they could do that easily again in their last/next simulation. EDIT: arcade games SHOULD be challenging, too! Even if the physics are not so complicated as in simulations, there has to be some difficulty (minus the cop chases, they where really tough)!! A non-challenging arcade game is just a waste of time. I don't hope GT Racing gets way too easy, so that situations happens like in the Fiona course in Ferrari GT (That Ferrari GT physics and the course make that game in the moment simulation like, other courses, too), when you can easily get ahead an half round, and only way for ramping difficulty up is to buy a "low" car!

I hope GT Racing is damn hard!! After Jet Car Stunts I am so tempted for damn hard racing games, it needs a new companion, GT Racing for teh rescue? ;)

Every time I see there has been a reply in this thread I think it's more news, not posts about gt mobile or something :/

Since we are getting close to the given release date it would be nice for gameloft to release some new screens / footage to get hype levels up (not that I need it :p) maybe a picture of the menus or something we not seen yet.

BTW does anyone know if you can view your race as a replay in this? that is the biggest single missing feature in real racing, it has the replay camera angles as you can see the cpu drive your car after a race but you can not watch your own set of laps. Hopefully GT academy gives up replays.

1st gen iPhones aren't the reason the graphics are bad, the 1st gen iPhone is the same in terms as performance as the iPhone 3G. I have played games (i.e - 2XL ATV - Offroad) that look amazing on my 1st gen iPhone.

What it really comes down to is the developers, and how well they make the graphics.
At the current level, 3GS/older devices doesn't even come into the equation as no developers have really started making graphically superior 3GS games.
Also, the more capital letters you use, the more of a douche you look.

fine sorry, i was ranting, but still ipod 3G/3GS users (not all, but a lot) want more optimized games to come out now.
