I don't get why everyone hated Car Jack Streets so much. Sure, it wasn't the best game ever, and sure the time limit, while a cool idea, was a real pain. But it was fun while I was playing it. It felt like the old GTA, and I think that's all that everyone cares about. It was a fun game of the time, but now it's outdated. It might just be me, but I think if I went back and played CJS now, I'd still enjoy it.
A big +1. GTA loads up so quick it's not even funny. It's perfect because all the content is there for hours and hours of game time... but also you can pick it up for a quick play and go on a fat rampage when you only have a few minutes to spare! I'm not going to be playing much more Bejeweled while waiting in line anytime soon lol, rather be running people over and shooting cops
Did I say GTA was a bad game? No. Did I say there were things about GTA I liked? Yes. I said I liked the story. I said I liked the PDA. Did I even say I thought Gangstar was overall the better game? No. In fact, I said I was reserving judgement until I finished GTA. But: I think the driving engine in Gangstar is more fun, feels faster, feels more intense. I think the targeting system in Gangstar is vastly better than the system used in GTA. And I think the dual stick driving controls in Gangstar work much better than then buttons in GTA --they gave me much more control over the degree of the turn, the rate of acceleration, the overall speed, the rate of braking, etc, and to me that makes them better. While the first point may be subjective, the second two are less so -- Many people have complained about GTA's targeting system, and the dual stick driving controls in gangstar are the best driving controls I've seen on the iphone. And somehow all that makes me a moron fanboy? Well stated argument.
Gangstar, because it's a lot more fun to drive around in horrible 3d than it is to drive around with bad left and right buttons. also, running people over is fun >:9 and seeing them as badly animated sprites doesn't make me happy :<
another question, in gta please answer as yes or no: 1. can we drive any cars? 2. can we drive tanks? 3. can we drive helicopters? 4. can we drive boats? 5. is there store that u can go inside? not like gangstar where u wait outside 6. is there 2 story buildings? like you can go upstairs and something? 7. is there cheat codes available? 8. are you still here and able to read all this if you can, please write: twinkie is good thanks you guys
My vote is for Gangstar only because Rockstar haven't put GTA onto 1st Gen Touches yet and I haven't been able to try it
You can change it from buttons to an analog stick. Dual stick driving controls = un-co The targeting system in Chinatown Wars is fine, in fact, I quite like it. Admittedly, driving feels better in Gangstar. The story sucks, graphics suck (comparatively), gameplay is boring, there isn't much to do etc. Which is why Chinatown wars is better.
In GTA? 1. Yes 2. Yes 3. No 4. Yes 5. 1 or 2, yes 6. Yes 7. Apparently, but I'm not sure how to use them. 8. Twinkie is good http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?threadid=41756
its ashame not to have a helicopter, can the boat go anywhere? like anywhere as in to another islands?
GTA:CW is at least 4x the size. Here's the map: http://gamewiki.net/wiki/images/2/25/Grand_Theft_Auto_Chinatown_Wars.Combined_Map.png
I responded, it's a perfectly free roam ocean with other boats to attack and an island with a min-game and that awesome Statue of Liberty knock off with the heart in it from GTA IV .
if you actually look at that thread you will see that I've been contacting Rockstar to try and get them to change. I'd rather not have to go to this extra effort when it should just be compatible
Gtacw is open world... Anyway i voted gtcw (self explanatory) however i didnt hate gangstar as all of you do i thought the controls were good and the graphics showed a 3d sandbox game could be done on the idevice (although pretty much everything other than the visuals and controls sucked) So heres hoping rockstar could port vc stories to idevice. But cw is amazing (i played the ds version to death) i just really wished they wouldve fixed the auto aim. But other than that its perfect and 10 bucks ims a deal compared to paying 35-40 dollars for the ds and psp versions of the same game.
