Those bushes are near the invisible level borders. The Graal overworld is made out of small levels which are connected to a map. That's why it's easy for us to update parts of the map. We should allow the bush cutting over level borders though, will try to add it to a future update
I'm pretty sure that's how people get into unreleased areas. I won't say how, but you make it so the other parts of the map don't load, then you can simply walk into where they should be, it's just a big green area. You can then walk around the part of the map that has actually loaded and get into the other areas.
How on earth did people figure out they had to do that to get to new areas? Seems like something that must have been done by accident first

TBH I found it out by accident, people were blocking a certain area, so I turned my lag on so that the people never spawned and I could get through, and yeah...then I just saw that I could walk anywhere after a while...
