I make this app, super notebook, it's easier than DiyDict ( has less function, still powerful).but a cute interface, I think.. Maybe I just enjoy putting some new ideas into it? people in that thread said the screenshots are just uselss artwork. I think maybe I do it in a wrong way. I change the description. But I think people don't really read descriptions.. So how could I show concepts in a picuture. like "multi-level directory"? I mean not multiple handbooks, all good handbook app can do this. there's directory in handbook, and you can make directory in a directory, like a file system in your mac. I use totally different kind of screenshot for DiyDict and Super Notebook. DiyDict has a simple interface, but you can build a complicated and colorful book. So I show different kind of books it can build. Super Notebook has a interface I like..So I show the interface. Maybe I show the pictures in a girl's way, just pick what I like? And I am not a native English speaker, I don't use English in my daily life, and my English is not so good Anyway, If you have some suggestion on advertisement. Got a promo code for DiyDict a while back, and aside from the fact that DIY should have been capitalized, I think it's an OK name. (Spelling out Dictionary would have been good too.) Super Notepad? Also seems like an OK title to me. I like the fact that you can share the results over WiFi, I've used it for documentation a few times - I guess the only issue ends up being that times I can usually share via wifi, I could just host the file on a server and not tie up my iPod... I would either a) add a chat and doc sharing to these, since they're cute and should appeal to younger people, and/or b) make a more serious/professional version of DIY Dictionary for people who might want have technical information handy.
Thank you for drelbs, I don't quite understand.. do you mean you'd like to keep diydict files in a server? My future plan include: It can generate a website on a free server. and people can see it like you saw it on your device, it may take 5-10minutes to learn it, I am thinking if it's too complex.. It does not support Doc files and link yet, for security. Because DiyDict is built to make books, and I thought if people get books from internet, it may cause some potential security issue.. I agree with the above poster - add the chat and text feature. Also, for advertising purposes, and to draw in more people I suggest you use actual screen shots of what can be created in your DiyDict app as well as your Super Notebook app. Actually show it's abilities by making numerous pages or books with tab features showing. Also, have the ability to cross off items completed, or update items, or even add notes. I also suggest that you make the interface customizable so that anyone can create the look they want without it being specific to gamers, kids, women or men specifically. Maybe add backgrounds and icons to choose from, or allow the user to create their own from their own photos. I dont have either of these apps, but would love to see them myself so that I could give more suggestions. These are just some from what Ive seen of your apps in itunes. Sandi
In fact, you could customize everything in your notebook. change background Image from your own photos. and DiyDict is designed for all people, it has more buttons, too many buttons to be customized I think.. I will think of making the interface more customizable. And it's actual screen shots.. for diydict, just add some text on it.. for super notebook, it's the interface.. By the way, are you a super mario fans? If not, Super notebook instruction may seems odd.. the pipe can lead you to another screen, eat flower can change font color, and mushroom can change font size..
