Giana Sisters for a special price on all Apple platforms until the 23.1. (including that day)More than 20 years ago Armin Gessert developed with GIANA SISTERS one of the first Jump'n'Run games for the Commodore C64 - the console manufacturers got anxious - one of them tried to stop the sisters and the end seemed close. But you might say when idols die then legends are born ! As in this case. C64, Amiga, Amstrad and Atari ST Gamer honor GIANA SISTERS and an original game with packaging has become a rare collector's item. The legend is back, better and bigger than ever before. Four years after the successful mobile phone version the GIANA SISTERS celebrate their arrival in the new millenium as an iPad App, without loosing their 80s charm. We have improved the graphics of the levels from the iPhone especially for the iPad, and the game was expanded to accommodate the additional requirements and options of the iPad. Thus, the GIANA SISTERS HD app now features captivating HD graphics, freely movable buttons, and much more. The newly polished 32 classic levels from the old days should result in hear palpitation and teary-eyes for real enthusiasts. Even though GIANA SISTERS has been polished off from its decade old dust, now it goes strong with the known style, legendary sound and all classic features. Jump deep into the Giana world with 80 new adventures. Choose between classic or touch control as well as several new features. GIANA SISTERS provides you with fun for your iPad that lasts for hours ! - 80 new levels - 32 retro levels - completely new graphic set especially for the iPad - 2 controls (touch and classic) - iPod connection - play your own music while you play GIANA SISTERS - 5 languages: English, German, Spanish, French and Italian - legendary soundtrack, inspired by Chris Huelsbeck - Online community toolsPlease send your questions and requests to [email protected], we are happy to hear from you Information Seller: Genre:Arcade, Family Release:Jul 08, 2010 Updated:Nov 30, -0001 Version: Size:0.0 TouchArcade Rating:Unrated User Rating: (1) Your Rating:unrated Compatibility:HD Universal lite : http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/giana-sisters-hd-free/id391479023?mt=8 nicolaxl Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2009 339 0 0 photograph italy #2 nicolaxl, Jul 14, 2010 Last edited: Jul 14, 2010 omg i search the new one from ipad and payd another time for the iphone version cause it was not listed in ipad ones, why the hell you don't release a patch instead! Bad Hanson Well-Known Member Apr 13, 2009 513 0 0 Somnambulist The Westcountry UK #5 Bad Hanson, Jul 14, 2010 I've just bought the game again having enjoyed the iPhone version. Is it me or does the game seem to run at a slower clip, it just feels a tad off on the responsive side when jumping. It feels a tad less manic than the iphone version. Perhaps this is accentuated by the bigger screen but was hoping for smoother gameplay, as it stands I think I prefer playing the iPhone version (which I played on 3rd gen ipod touch) Also, the first time I loaded it up it crashed right after the Jewel drop right at the beginning but no crashing probs since. killy billy Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2009 1,386 1 0 planet iphone/ipad #6 killy billy, Jul 14, 2010 Last edited: Jul 14, 2010 just bought it and played the first 4 levels. for me the control buttons are not in the ideal position for my hands! can you update the game with a custom button setup so we can move the buttons around to our own preferences? many games have that option now. btw great game! BazookaTime Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2009 5,340 1 36 Kansas http://www.paulmcraelind.com #7 BazookaTime, Jul 14, 2010 I loved the iPhone version and I have been waiting for the iPad version. Overall, I am impressed by the iPad version but so far I have not noticed a huge difference. However, this is easily worth the price IMO. Couple of points... The starting controls are horrible and I can't imagine them working for very many people. I would suggest changing the location of the button layout for people that are new to the game. Having played the iPhone version, I knew how to move the controls around but I can assure you some people will miss this. The reason is, when you go into controls, it looks like you can just keep what you have or switch to swipe, a lot of people will miss that you have to hit the other button. Maybe put some wording by that button that states thAt you can customize your controls. Also, I noticed either a little slow down or maybe it was lower frame rates from time to time. Seems like there were a few times when the gameplay was not as smooth. nicolaxl Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2009 339 0 0 photograph italy #8 nicolaxl, Jul 14, 2010 i search here and find that you release a new version that work, then i search it on the ipad but it shows only the iphone version (wich i bought for error thinking that it was ipad),then i download again giana for ipad (this time i don't pay ofc) but it was easier to take a patch instead of download the game again so that i make an error and payd it twice.. badmonkee Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2010 49 0 0 http://www.kaasa.com #9 badmonkee, Jul 14, 2010 Ok, I understand. Has anyone who has the game downloaded the latest update and tried them out? I'm interested in the game but would like the hear how the new controls are working for everyone. Really glad for the update, that annoying memory issue is finally a thing of the past! I bought this game months ago and really liked it: brings back memories of by beloved Amiga. Good job updating a classic, I definitely recumbent this as one of the iPad's best platformers. SB1987 New Member Jan 22, 2012 2 0 0 #16 SB1987, Jan 22, 2012 I noticed this but I went back around. However, I can't get the last 3 red gems that are down the wells. When I go into any three of the wells, I get kicked back out. I've tried walking to left or right and shooting fire. Neither work. Is this a bug or has anyone got past this? I've got every other red gem in the game! Icurafu Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2011 46 0 0 #17 Icurafu, Jan 22, 2012 Yeah, this game has a lot of retro love. I really enjoyed this. I wonder if this is related to the Giana sisters remake for the poorly fated open pandora console. Platformers are always going to suck a little on the iPad, but I managed to keep this one. Controls are about as good as muffin knight. I didn't finish it. I'd be interested in the opinion from someone who got to the end. slamraman Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Aug 27, 2011 2,511 8 38 #18 slamraman, Jan 22, 2012 Now this would be perfect for iCade controls. Is there any chance of this? Please. Rasec Noir Well-Known Member Jan 22, 2012 52 0 0 Porto, Portugal #19 Rasec Noir, Jan 22, 2012 i would love to have that. I already sent an email asking for that but no answer until now. A shame but tried my only solution, i bought brutol and now i play the game with icade and it's great. Angusto New Member Feb 29, 2012 2 0 0 #20 Angusto, Feb 29, 2012 Help for some bugs Hi everybody, I got both the Ipad and the Iphone Giana versions and I experienced some bugs that I would like to share with you, to know if somebody else had my same problems and if there's a solution. The first is: if I play the I-phone version on the I-pad the game crashes when I press fire after having become Punk Giana. No problem if I play it on the I-phone. Second issue. On the I-PAD version, I see a bunch of white blocks instead of the Soda distributor machine, and the soda bottle appears as a white block too. It happens always when I meet the machine in the game, just like tha graphics are not correctly loaded, that otherwise is perfect. I got an I-PAD 1 and a 3GS I-Phone. Any ideas? Thanx to all!
