I'm getting a new computer. Which one is the best value? Be sure to look at the graphics card and let me know if it's good. That's the most confusing part to me. Computer 1: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6075576&CatId=114 Computer 2: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6291873&CatId=114 Computer 3: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6075574&CatId=114 If you think you'd be able to find an even better one under $1000, post it here please. Preferably one that ships to Canada or from a Canadian site.
Same video card on all of those, the Radeon 4350, which by today's standards is pretty low-end. You won't be gaming well with many modern games on that, if that's one of your intentions. You'd need at least a Radeon 5780 or GeForce 240GTX for mid-spec gaming.
Assuming it's not integrated, yes. Although even if it's integrated you can install whatever card you like and disable the integrated card in BIOS.
Alright, sweet. And what's your opinion on getting a refurbished desktop..? My friend suggested this one to me: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6367167&CatId=6
IMO, "gaming PCs" are completely overrated. I agree with MidianGTX here (which apparently means I agree with Hodapp as well): I don't have any input on the computers you've listed though, sorry. If you're looking for a computer, I would get a Mac (although not under $1000).
Not bad, but still has an underpowered graphics card. As people have suggested, I'd build your own. You do save money as you get to choose the components you want, and in the end you'll have a machine built to your specs within your budget. Read through this thread.
If you want to install a decent GPU yourself, be sure you get the i3 version because you need a specific kind of motherboard. All computers aren't very good to be honest..
It's clear he wants to buy a PC so how about you get your head out of that tiny, white, Apple-branded, recycled cardboard box and take a look around. There's more than one option for everything.

Pros: Decent video card, good CPU, triple PCIe-16 slots in case you ever wanted to three-way SLI, 6GB triple-channel PC10600 RAM, Terabyte SATAII HDD. Cons: Mediocre integrated audio, no WiFi, gaudy case, stupidly overpriced. You could custom-build that same system with WiFi, a nicer case, and better audio for less. If you switch to AMD Phenom II, you can build it cheaper still. You could probably even bump the video card to a Radeon 5870 and still come under the asking price for that system. I don't know where you're located in Canada, but check your local mom 'n pop shops and price out some separate parts. Alternatively, go online and check out ncix.com or newegg.ca and price your parts out that way.
How much do you think the average computer store would charge me to get them to assemble all of the parts that I'd purchase?
