    Downloaded... Now syncing... impressions A-SAP

Note: I was a minor fan of the orginal. The graphics made me buy it as I really, really like the geometry wars style. The difficulty killed it for me. I'm not a very experinced TD player and really justed wanted to screw around with the towers and graphics, then I got my ass handed to me!

Lets see how this new version works!

It is just as difficult as the first one had to play level 2 several times to beat it on easy too

Does it have achievements though? Sure they are pointless, but I can't stop collecting them. Either way, I'm grabbing this.

    OK! First impressions!

This is VERY much a sequel. There is enough new stuff to call it a new game (hex and free roaming creep ect.) but theres also a TON of reuse (I would like to see more than just one new tower and the same creep)

The difficulty is still there, as a post previous said, I also had to play LV2 on easy several times to get it right, but this time it feels like theres more strategies available due to the free placement of towers.

The game is still as pretty as before, the graphics are very much the same, there is a new hex effect where the previously where a grid. Its pretty cool, but nothing major

Another thing to notice is this uses Open Feint. I have yet to really understand what it does but it seems to be a practical way to track high scores across several games.
Also, it was the most ridiculously easy setup I've ever had. Just tapped something like "yes, use Open Feint" it told me it already created a Account and name for me (name was something like MyName204810) so I just edited that to VWXYZ (as I use for any gaming system) and hit OK, and that was it! Open Feint works completely in the back ground.
When I restarted the game there was a lag of something like half a second then a tiny pop-up said "logged into open feint"

Again, I have no idea what this Open Feint really is, but its really, really sleek and elegant so far!

I just noticed it still has the old version of OpenFeint too, oh well. I'll still enjoy it ;)

Am I the only one not liking swarm as much as I thought I would?

It's still a good game but I was expecting more than just a retooling of old assets.

Oh, and i'm not a fan of the big BUY GEODEFENSE button that boots you out of the game and into the appstore being located right under the button to go to the main menu.

Strange, anyone else notice that the release date in the app store says August 14?

Any randomization (like maybe the mix of baddies coming at you in a wave)?
