I just had to share our frustration.

This is what happened: Back in May we received an email reminding that our license will expire in August. We had 3 more months, so we didn't want to renew then of course. I remember we even joked around: "what if we renewed now and our term now starts in May instead of August and we lose 3 months" - we had experienced and witnessed a lot of incompetence from Apple already and that wouldn't have been a surprise for us.

So we got too busy and forgot about our license expiring. They didn't send any other reminder emails. That's just crazy because almost any other subscriptions I have, I usually get a reminder 10 times more than I'd like. With Apple, they just let us know 3 months in advance and expected us to remember that for 3 months. I don't know maybe that's normal for everyone and we are weird.

Anyway - that's not the real problem. We realized that our license has expired last week - either that day or the day after it already expired. We paid the renewal fee right away. In the meantime our apps (gemmed! and gemmed! lite) were unavailable.

So immediately after the renewal, Gemmed! lite became available again. However Gemmed! is still nowhere to be found. This all happened on the 18th of August. It's been a week now. We lose sales every day.

After we waited for a few days, we emailed Apple. You guys probably know how great Apple is when it comes to responding to developers' emails. So we got no response yet. We keep receiving emails from people who want to buy Gemmed!, but of course can't.

While we were trying to figure out how to reach Apple (I even considered asking you guys to email Apple so maybe when they see bunch of requests they would do something about it) we got an email from someone who had already bought it before. So I suppose he/she wanted to re-download, but it wasn't available so they emailed Apple. Now here is the news! Apple told them that they pulled the app from the store! WHAT?? WHY? Why didn't we get a notice? What's going on?

It's incredibly frustrating to deal with Apple on every level. We already got screwed by them multiple times since we released Gemmed! But this one tops them all!

LOL...this is getting more interesting...so that person just forwarded us the response they got from Apple:

"I understand that you are wondering why the application "Gemmed!" is no longer available in the iTunes Store. I know you must be eager to have this taken care of. I am so sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. My name is .... from the iTunes Store and I will do my best to help you.

Just to let you know. Whenever an item is removed, it is usually the decision of the developer of the application to do so. The developer of the application is the best resource for pricing information about this application. To contact the developer directly, please visit their support site: www.wastedpixel.com"

So turns out it was "our decision" to pull our app from the store and then we pretend Apple did it. We are crazy like that.

That's a shame. Gemmed is a great game and the only game that my mom will play for hours on my iPod. I hope everything will be ok.

Looks like the problem is solved, as I see Gemmed in the iTunes store now.

Yeah, I don't know if someone from Apple is reading these forums (there were some other times where issues got resolved after they are mentioned here) or they finally took our email seriously even though they didn't reply us, or bunch of players contacted them, or our poking around with the app details/description triggered something, but it's available since about 3am last night. Whew!
