[GAMEVIL] Zenonia – Intro Trailer

The game sounds great, the different classes sound awesome! I want to play as an assassins.

 

I just realised that in this video you can see the Assassin Class with the two knives.


Wonder what the Paladin Class looks like?

 

Have to wonder - why are most characters in the trailer half naked and/or look like strippers? Given the cuddly in-game graphics this looks like a strange combination.

 

Sex appeal. Marketing tactic since man discovered women.

So far I have not discovered anything different in terms of skills/stats when you're playing either good or evil characters.

You make Yes/No decisions along the storyline in the game and it adds points towards good or evil depending on the decision, much like Knights of the Old Republic does.

*I don't think this is much of a spoiler but be warned.*

There will be 2 nymphs in game that will follow you about wherever you go, and depending on your good/evil affiliation, one of them will be with you at a particular time.

It also affects a little of the storyline scenes and your character's motive in the game.

 

That's quite interesting. Will your good/evil affiliation affect your items/attacks, etc?

 

So far, your affiliation has no effect on skills/stats/weapons/items.

 

So...then technically it isn't an LoZ like game at all. So...the only thing that they really have in common is that the graphic style reminds some of the old 2D LoZ titles...because in terms of primary focus of gameplay they wouldn't be all that similar.

LoZ = action/adventure

This is pure action/RPG, and there's quite a bit of a difference.

I was hoping for an action/adventure game ala Zelda, as that is the one genre without much representation on the iTouch/Phone platform (off the top of my head, the only one that stands out was the recent Dark Raider, but that is more action heavy than adventure heavy).

Ah well...a good action/RPG is nothing to scoff at, and this looks like a damned good action/RPG.

 

The visuals alone pretty much make this a day one purchase for me. Good 2D sprite based RPG's are too few and far between nowadays.

I'm gonna see how it does in sales first. If it doesn't really get in the top 100s like CJS, I'll be waiting a couple of weeks for a price drop. I'm sure the game will get into like the top 10 though, so I'll probably buy it.
