They did mention multiplayer. They said something to the effect that it would be the most refined MP experience ever offered, in the history of fps on the iPhone. However, they mentioned no specifics. The fact that there are 15 upgradeable weapons certain suggests that the might try to emulate in some way the COD MP experience. But, like I said, they no made no specific claims as far as what the MP for MC2 will entail. At least for now, the upgradeable weapons mentioned in the podcast apply only to the sp campaign.
Omfg you can upgrade weapons!!!! OMFG I RAGED!!!!! This is gunna be like waiting for Christmas... But 10x harder!
Again though, there was no mention that upgraded weapons were a multiplayer feature. In fact, the podcast made it sound as if upgraded weapons were a single player campaign feature. I only suggested that perhaps upgraded weapons could be incoporated into both SP and MP modes. Gameloft, however, has given no such hint that this is going to happen.
UPGRADING WEAPONS!!!! AHH I CANT WAITT!!!! Lol anyway ive bought my new iphone 3gs and im ready for this game (especially...multiplayer D
Too bad Gameloft doesn't support 3g cellular network play. It's been proven doable. In fact, if you have a jailbroken phone, you can play Gameloft games over 3g and it's essentially lag free. Gameloft has made it pretty clear that they have no intention of offically enabling 3g network play. I'm really not interested in playing iDevice games online while at home using my own wi-fi. That's what a 360 is for.
Haaha your 100% right, i have been trying to play Sandstorm over 3G in the past couple of days on my jailbroken iPhone 3GS, do you know how? Thanks... ps looking forward to this more than black ops.
So a lot of people are wondering whether the game will support 1/2g devices. The answer will most likely be yes. My reasoning is: Gameloft knows that 1/2g users make up a very large amount of the market, if they were to make it exclusive to 3/4g devices, their gross from the game would be very small, so they would have to include 1/2g devices to get the maximum pay out of the game.
turrents in all the gameloft shooter games there has been a turrent mission.in splinter cell brothers in arms and MCS. they arent fun at all. And after playing one it makes me want to stop playing the game because of pure bordem. Hope this is te last game with turrents for a mission.maybe a choice of turrent but not a whole mission of IT!!
Totally agree. They have used the EXACT same turret level mechanic in all of their major titles, and it's really starting to annoy me.
I hate the goddamn recycled turret level. I pointed out that very fact back when the details of Splinter Cell Conviction first emerged. How the hell did adding in that stupid turret level fit within the context of what a Splinter Cell game is supposed to be? That turret level cannot be stopped. I half expect to find it remerge somewhere in Dungeon Hunter 2. It's probably somewhere in Ultimate Spider-man too. I wouldn't be surprised if they found a way to put it into Shrek and Rayman and NFL 2011. Jeez.
