Sold on Sacred Odyssey for iPad. I really don't like the IAP model but for $.99 I couldn't pass. Seems like a decent Zelda style rpg but I haven't dug into it really yet.
November 2011: Our Black Friday sale will include Backstab, Order and Chaos Online, and other Gameloft favorites!
Sorry, I misread someone's post and was then under the impression that it was a new Crash Bandicoot kart game. Anyhow, is there a new Crash Bandicoot kart racing game in the works or am I just being hopeful?
I was being sarcastic. I really don't know what Gameloft has in store for November 2011. Hopefully, they make those apps 99 cents?
Because they always put their lower quality titles that don't do so hot but are new on sale and advertise it as, "We're even putting our newest titles on sale!" Backstab is the definition of a lower quality title that needs to be put on sale to be worth paying for imo. Or they could patch it to be less repetitive...
Love these sales, though I have barely played the last couple Gameloft games I picked up, heh. This time I picked up Starfront and NOVA 2 ipad editions and played 15 minutes of each to see how they were. Starfront seems really nice, though it doesn't have as many unit/upgrade possibilities as I'd like. Controls much better than C&C for me. NOVA 2 I bought mostly because the gyroscope control intrigued me ever since I tried that gun range semi-game that was fun with the gyro. In a full game environment however I couldnt really use it effectively, oh well. Actual game seems pretty good though I doubt Ill play it much. Nice to have around for a buck though.
Yep, it's Gameloft's only good single player series along with the Gangstar series. Their other single player adventures are all below par, including Backstab. It's actually over 900 MB when it's expanded on the iPod. I'd imagine the HD file size is over 1 GB.
