I disagree. I think Gameloft has really let the QC slip in the last while, with the exception of Modern Combat 3, which was great. Many of their recent action games all stick to the same engine and formula, and it's grown tired for many of us.
Oh, and the freemium models they've recently introduced, most notably the absolutely disastrous Let's Golf 3!, have really turned a lot of gamers off. I actually wrote a letter about that one.
To me, Gameloft has only really released 8 games this year, not 10 as one might say 'officially'. Freemium reskins don't count as anything since it's the same game made freemium (BIA2 and Fishing Kings). Hopefully we see some more non-freemium games released, like a "nova 3" or another fun game by them....freemium is ruining gameloft...
Yeah I agree. I was Disappointed after reading an article on IGN about how the freemium Six Guns by Gameloft worked. I think I can probably say that most people would much rather pay for the full premium version that a freemium game.
Freemiums really don't work with GL games. I have no idea why they tread into that territory when it's been completely dominated by mostly pick-up-and-play management games.
So here's another one: Green Farm 2. They may just make it to their 18 (20 minus the 2 unreal games). Hoping for some good surprises. Would love to have a new Eternal Legacy; one that is improved of course.
20 games... About 2 more release weeks before the releases will stop. Still no Real Football 2012 though....
Sorry I had to post this. I was watching a video review by giant bomb (great stuff btw) and they made a funny joke about a gameloft. They were reviewing the console version of Apples to Apples and said if gameloft copied it, their game would be Pears to Pears. Insta classic in my book sorry for the random tangent
2 more weeks until the app store winter break. I really hope Gameloft has a few tricks up their sleeves. I know many are frustrated with Gameloft with their new freemium direction, but I still like many of their games. At least the Adventures of Tin Tin won't be freemium. Still hoping for a Nova 3 or Shadow Guardian 2, Eternal legacy 2 or Sacred Odyssey 2. Totally on the fence about Dungeon Hunter 3 and have my fingers crossed that somehow they pull it off.
