Just before Apple changed the rules on promo codes being US only, I managed to download some promo codes for GA1, GA3 and GA4. After doing some marketing I still have a few of these floating around and thought it would be great to give them away to Gamebook Adventures fans that frequent TA. To win a code, you must: 1) Have a US app store account. These codes will not work in any other country (trust me I've tested them). 2) Already own one of our gamebooks. 3) We want hear about your favourite sections in our gamebooks, Which route did you take, who did you fight, was there an item that you'd wish you had been able to find? Post these in this thread. 4) Tell us which promo code you would like - GA1, GA3 or GA4. We do not have any GA2 codes left sadly. We only have limited codes left, so as soon as they're gone - they're gone. Our decision is final.
I was thinking to participate, but you know what ... I prefer to buy the last missing one GA3 ... This might help GA5 and 6 to come along
So I bought the one where I start off with two my friends who promptly get shot by goblins with arrows. I'm running through the city streets and make my way to a raft, and eventually I'm lost in a dungeon with multiple doors. The reason I like that adventure in particular is because it's actually quite challenging! I always remember the Choose Your Own Adventure books to be super easy, and I love the "boss battle" aspect to the Gamebooks! I've yet to beat the adventure (keep dying from a super powerful boss), but I'm hopeful. Haha. Anyhoo, I'd love a code for any of the other Gamebooks. Thanks in advance!
Have purchased all of them, so don't want to be entered for a code. Wanted to say what my favorite is, but even that I can't decide. GA1 has had the most gameplay in it for me. I think I've played about 20 hours, and still haven't gotten the "best" ending. I've reached over half the possible endings at this point, though, and play on occasion to work on getting the other endings. My favorite GA so far has been #3, but that was the quickest completion. After getting the victory ending, I've not gone back to play out the other endings, so at 4.5 hours I was "done" enough. I've only played #4 about 90 minutes. It's good, but I haven't had much spare time to work through it, so I've accomplished no endings. Also, I play them slowly, even though I'm a pretty fast reader, often reading each section 2-3 times for the first few times I see each section.
I have Gamebook 1, assassin in Orlandes. I beat up a footpad who had killed a nobleman, but accidentally told the guards and was chased through alleyways. I hid in the sewers and killed a cannibal, but in the morning my face was plastered all over the town. I ran away from Orlandes and it eventually burned to the ground. That was my first play through, and I enjoyed every bit of it. On my second play through I obviously didn't tell the guards. One of my favorite aspects of the books is the artwork. It's top quality and awesome to use as my iPad wallpapers or lock screens. I'd love to try out GA 3, thanks.
I have the first three, and GA3 is my favourite! (well, i only finished that...XD) Lets just say i enjoyed every single bit of the adventure in both books, especially the boss battles. It was a lot of fun! I would like to try out the latest installment, GA4 Thanks!
Hah, bought the first one 'cause of the sale, can't play it for a week more. Hate having a broken Touch. Meh, good luck guys.
Aww thanks FPE. Every sale does indeed help us bring out more of the series. Thanks for the support! Great feedback for us though RagManX! Shocked at how many hours you've put into GA1! That's commitment. Thanks too for your great support. I know re-tweet our messages on Twitter too and it's very much appreciated. Private messages on their way to you Seishu and Joey87! Thanks for your great feedback.
I have Gamebook One and Two- and I really loved the encounter with the lich in the first book... to stumple upon him in his crypt gave me a shiver down my spine - and the first time, I died (of course) at the game he played with me. But this is one of my absolute favourite scenes! The encounter came sudden and unexpected... that was a really nice surprise. I love your Gamebooks. Fresh and unique storys, great art and even replay value when you do things different. I'd really like to have a code for Gamebook (GA) 4!
Yeah I know who you are too! Thanks too for all your twitter support recently. Really valuable! Private message on its way!
Alright so I've heard so much hype about this game series, and I honest to God never really found it applying until the last moment. By last moment, I mean when I had used up all of my iTunes credit. I never really found the gameplay to be too interesting, although the story sounds very interesting. If possible, I wouldn't mind picking up a code for the first.
I have GA1 and ga2. I recalled like Seishu, I went and tried to be useful and ended up with lots of trouble. It's been some time since I last played, I actually have a love hate relationships with those darn red herrings. I think I played it 2.5 times before throwing a fit. Damn dead ends and I can't go back like a real paperback! other little things are those quirky achievements - I do love these. If I am qualified, I really like ga4. And ga3 if you don't think I am greedy.
well all I got is GA1 and 2 so i'd love either 3 or 4 PLease my friend told me about this cuz he is on some follow your own adventure kicks and I loved it Here is what I like about it...1. the illustrations are just beautiful 2. the rpg elements makes it really enjoyable for me and 3. the unforgiving dead ends you come across lol it really adds challenge to the game Anyways I don't want to give story away but you can expect a lot of twists in it and alas it really draws the user in anyways to answer part 3) I always like to take the unorthodox route so I'd be a "drunk" and attack everything, obviously this doesn't work out very well being killed by goblins and the lich...lol but hey it's my adventure anyways really appreciate it guys thanks
I have GA1 & 2 and i love the gameplay n stories so much! i first got GA2 due to the creepinest of the icon as i loved magic, mystery and scary stuff. although a bit different than my first thought it would be but i never regret getting it! a total great experience! I would like to have GA3 or GA4 or both if u've any extras.
I own the first three, but have only just barely started playing the first, and yet it's already awesome. I haven't gone far enough into the story to have a favorite moment in terms of storyline, but from the time I've played so far, I found it awesome that I was taken down to one health in a drawn out battle, then had the dogs thrown on me after trying to tell the parents what I knew about their son's death, and almost made it through the entire fight with my single health point. So crushing to lose when one more good hit would have taken out the second dog. If there's still any codes for GA4, I'd appreciate one.
