Hello guys =) This is an idea I got for a game but im not a programmer to make it so Im putting it here preetymuch to free pick if anyone feels interested. I am interested in 2-stick shooters. I like them, esp. those survivor ones. I spent hours playing them, if it was Minigore or Alive 4 Ever. And so I came up with ideas how to make them a bit better. And give them more of a replayability. So, first to state, YAZA is another 2 sticker shooter viewed from the top (so base interface, movement stick on the left, shooting stick on the right, at the top healthbar, at the righttop corner weapons). But with my improvements What id like to change first would be territory. I can imagine fightning with zombies on the street of destroyed cities with wrecked cars, thrashed glass etc. Imagine Fallout 3 city. Youve got my picture. Youll be walking on those streets. Cool thing to add would be some visualisation based on random variable that runs at the begining of play and decides if its day or night, rain, snow or sun. So itll make every game a bit different. It would affect the world itself. Rain would make you slower and less accurate a bit, but same applies for zombies. Snow freezes and and lets you sliding a bit too, but also zombies. There would be small multiplication to each score based on weather too as because zombies got advantage over you during night for example. Great thing Id love to see in a survival dualsticker is random generated territory. Lets make some basic places. Straight Roads, Carefours etc. Those would be long and wide enought to cover whole view. When player comes near the end of place, somewhere outside of view, generate another one that links with previous one. So it would make small labyrinth as you advance in game. And also makes map different each play. Those places would then contains some random generated stuff, from ammo/healthpacks to enviromental props. And rarely, there will be open some buildings too. Not really high, but with doors, where youll move into room with some supplies or props and take battle into smaller interiers. I see it like youre on street, you can see walls at backs but there are open doors too. Youll move in and it uncovers interier map. But still joined to the main road. Dunno if youre getting the picture Might I should try to draw some pictures and post them with the text to make it more clear. So, weve got random enviroment, random playground, now what to do on the playground? I always though that theres too low interaction with territory in those games. action is intensive, yep, but can see covering, I can see tapping on the can to pull it over and block incoming zombies or putting it back on to cover myself or closing doors behind me. I can imagine sitting into working car and show them wheels for a little time, based on amount of gas in car to limite this power. Also working with lights/sounds would be cool. Shooting into gas tank to blow it would attract zombies, horn with horner in car too, during night, lightning a lightbulb. I mean theres a lot of stuff you can do if you wanna survive. And with whole screen being interactive, you can open your imagination. Opening doors on cars or hiding in them if you cant drive them, breaking glasses, building small defenses out of thrash bins, opening canals to let them fall in etc. It would be truly ultimate surviving of all time. Another cool thing would be some sort of treasures found in the world, based mainly on popculture of prezombie times. Indiana Jones hat, Star Trek costume or Hannah Montana fake hairs . All these things can be equipped by nameless main protagonist. And these stuff would have some effects on the game too. Can boost your speed, give resistance against bad stuff, slide on frozen puddles or just look badass. Those treasures would be rare to find and gives another way to play the game = to collect them all. Another step would be weapons. When it comes to shooting, this part is developed already so deeply that it doesnt make sense to try rebuilding it. But there are 2 things id love to see in: -Grenades. How to use? At one point, youll touch screen, out of shooting analog, and make move forward, which would choose direction and power of throw (another thing to make game more fun can be different reactions of enviroment to grenade explosions like chain explosions of cars) -Meele Weapons. Id make them way that you need to change your wep to meele and with atk analog, make a faster swing to see character swing with weapon too equal to direction and size of the swing. It would be ultimate, unlimited, but range-limited way to kill a zombie. I see all the swinging with katana around character to kill waves of zombies... fun! And different meele weapons would have different effects like baseball bat would knock them, katana cuts them into two, or just do mayhem by motorpile. As I think all the super horror survival shooters are just cheezy, id love to put in as much humor as possible, begining with different ways to kill, types of zombies, some rare fun weapons, artifacts ending with random fun events generated on random map.
