This has to be the craziest sale ever!!! Keep thinking got it, don't got it, got it, don't got it... But now? Got it! Gonna have fun experimenting with the 3 different graphic modes for the new ipad. I love it when developers add options like this where we can choose which mode we want on our new ipad. Thanks!!!
I downloaded the GoF light version, as I'm a huge space game fan. it was okay but didn't really grab me so I didn't buy the HD version or GoF 2 HD but having seen this sale, I simply have to buy it just in case I want to try it again, its a bargain at that price.
BAH HUMBUG! (before I comment, let me state that I know the Valkerie promotion is nothing new, and Bigfish deserves kudos for that). Now that I gotten that out of the way, I do have a teeny tiny beef. I purchased this game at it's highest price on the day that I bought my iphone 4S. Only after I purchased it did I find out that the Valkarie expansion wasn't even available for us HD purchasers. Weren't both the HD and SD versions released at the same time? Then I guess you could call me an early adopter of the also...I just decided to spend more for the fancier graphics. So what's the beef? Those who choose to spend 5 bucks get the expansion free. Those of us who ponied up 10 bucks, only to find out that the expansion wasn't even available, have to pay. If it's more than 99 cents, I should just wait for the SD version to go on sale again, pick it up, save a game, and delete it to take advantage of the discount. I was thinking while typing...I feel kinda silly now. Because the expansion was out for the SD version some 6 months before it was released for HD, Bigfish probably HAD to make it free for SD owners, otherwise those who had already bought the expansion would have had to pay twice. Ok...rant off. I'm no fan of people who complain about expansion packs they have to pay for...that's why they are called expansions. It's just that I've spent more for this game than probably any other I have, had to wait for what the SD owners could already buy, and feel like a second class customer. And lest someone thinks I jest, I'll attach my email receipt to reinforce how (relatively) expensive this game once was.
oops . Well, I STILL bought the HD version upon release. BTW, has the other planned expansion been released yet? I had to delete this long ago, took up too much space. I might skip Valkerie if the other expansion pack is more robust. Plus, I don't need better tech, I'm already the lord of space in this game, so to say.
*sigh* just saw it ourselves and did the price wiggle yet again. According to previous behaviour it should be back to $0.99 in approx 30 min :-/
Ah, the great roller coaster that is the app store. It's back to 99cent again in the uk anyway. Probably be back up again soon and down again soon after that. So for those if it's at the original price, give it 20 minutes and try again. App store is just glitchy at times. Dunno how long the sale will be so grab it while you can. Great sale guys. Have hd when it came out but here's hoping it makes it to the top of the charts and sets up for the next expansion to be a great success it probably will deserve to be.
Yeah, bit crazy as it is. I feel sorry for the guys at Fishlabs because they have a big marketing promotion going on with a lot of advertising on sites about the sale so I can only imagine that their email is being hammered by people saying its not on sale, even though it is. It's very unlucky how it keeps adjusting up and down. I've seen it a few times in the past but not on as big a game as this one. Maybe even the app store computer was surprised at the massive sale on GOF2 and it just struggled to accept it. A minor mental breakdown.
Ok...so I'll wait until the SD version goes on sale again for 99 cents to pick up the Valkerie expansion. I mean...come on now... :sigh:
pretty sure it's just for a limited time. Not something they're going to keep active for months... or even weeks...
Damnit. I stayed away from this one the last time around, not because of anything to do with the game, but mostly because I don't think I have the time to invest in this game. I'm not sure if my willpower will hold up again.
Went ahead and picked this up. I've heard loads of great things about it and couldn't imagine a better time to grab it.
paid full price for the SD and the 2 expansions back in the day, loved the game, just wish it was about 10 times as longer bought the HD version, can't go wrong with the price. strangely enough though, it sees that I have an icloud save from the SD version but won't let me load it because the valkyrie expansion isn't 'bought'. i try to restore purchases and it says it does it, but nothing gets unlocked. is there something i'm missing? redownloading the SD version again to see if it'll unlock the valkyrie expansion and let me load my icloud save. although i'd like the kaamo club back again as well...
The dev said earlier in the thread that if both sd and hd are on your device, it will unlock the expansion pack and then you can remove the sd. Can't remember what page that's on. Edit. Just checked. Last post on first page of this thread. You've probably figured that out by the time I posted this but just in case you haven't, I posted anyway.
