Runloop, do you still have room for more banners? What you are proposing is a really cool thing. Thank you

Hmm...it seems to be that size if you don't download the uploaded file.

If you click on the image (it'll open up some overlay view) then click on that overlay image again and it should open up to the real image size. Then you can save/download that size.

Let me know if that works for you, I was able to download it as 320x50.

    Cool, thanks!!

Yeah I clicked on my banner and downloaded it (probably the same way you did initially) and thought I messed up the size also. Then I figured out how to get to the original size...not very intuitive if you ask me :-/

    very generious

It's a good initiative. Very generous of you to help out other indie developers.
There might be a misconception though about the relativity of the ads that would run through a paid ad system. I think they've become more sophisticated than previous years and are reasonably good at targeting the proper demographic. If you're app isn't about dieting or fitness, then it most likely wouldnt be running lose 20 lbs, banner ads through an ad system.

Could you confirm what the new size is?

Unfortunately, I won't be taking any more ads. It turns out that the idea I had doesn't work. This is probably why no one else has bothered trying it.

Thank you for all those that supplied the ads. I hope the small number of clickthroughs generated a couple of sales at least.

I've actually taken the ad code out of my new game's lite version and begrudgedly replace it with ad mob. At a later point I will do the same in the other apps as it's causing unnecessary load on my server.

Sorry it didn't work out as planned. Thanks for the great opportunity to benefit people with free advertising. It helped me achieve a couple of sales during the short time I was participating.

Anyway, good luck to you and your apps in the future and congratulations on getting Blockees featured in New & Noteworthy.

    I didn't see this until today ---

Have you thought about just a simple button on the main screen of your game that would just have small icons of all the games that are being advertised? Something along the lines of "in app cross promotion" like apptreasures.com

I've been wanting to do that for a while, but can't find any takers.

I've done stuff like that in the past. It's not been terribly effective.

Is it because some of the games that were being cross promoted were either too different or "not up to snuff" ? Example: cross app promotion between infinity blade and a sudoku app probably won't be effective, but sudoku and a crossword game might be.

Well, it probably wasn't the fault of the cross promotion actually. And more that the game the cross promotion was in wasn't very effective.
