I dunno for sure, but I think he was talking about the iPhone 4's release in Australia, which if im not mistaken is at the end of July.
I really hope the "nude scenes" do not cause the game to be held up once it's submitted. We all know what the submission team are like with that kind of thing...
You bet! It's brilliant My 3G was getting tired and was struggling with certain games. I still can't believe how fast and smooth it is. THPS2 plays like it is almost in a beautiful slow-motion because the frame rate is so high. The screen is great too, but I don't think I am as excited as some other people are about how dense the pixels are - but it does look fantastic. And I love using the updated camera - much better I've tried to imitate the "death grip" and the signal bars do go down a bit, but so did my 3G if I held it the same way. It is way overblown, I think - but thats just from my own experience. It's a good thing that I'm right-handed How has your experience been with the iPhone 4 so far?
Honestly, this is really shaping up to be a incredible game. The details, lighting and shadows, suspenseful background music, frame rate -- everything is gelling extremely well. I do love a great psychological horror/survival game, and this one looks like it's set to become the best the App Store has ever seen, at least in terms of the visuals and environment. I can't wait to see some actual gameplay videos with details of encounters, object interactions, and the UI. Am I right in reading this will be iPhone 4-only? (It's fine by me, as we should be getting it here in Canada in the next few weeks and I'll be snagging mine ASAP).
No, they said quite a few times it will support the iPhone 3GS and the iPod Touch 3G (32/64GB) too, because they already have shaders and all that stuff. --------- I just read through the hole thread and I want the game even more now. Seriously, I can't beleeve the quality of the graphics in the videos. I'd have to see it running on the actual device itself first! If FM will be what it is said here to be, then take that, stupid PSP ads. Also, I'll repeat, experienced beta tester who really want's this game here! --------- Apple has released a new generation of the iPod Touch (and nano) every year in spetember till now. Why would they change this? Customers wouldn't like it. It would probably not be good for apple. Also, there have been some rumors like this one (http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/08/next-gen-ipod-touch-rumors-heat-up-front-facing-camera-septemb/) of what could be the front of the next gen iPod Touch.

Even with that I'm probably still going to get lost! ;D Still going to enjoy finding the right path though. Love it mate, I was one of those people trying to convince myself I didn't need one (buying into the hype of the yellow blotches and the signal issues)... But I knew I wasn't fooling myself. Since I've had it, I've had an incredible time. The display is stunning as you say. Everything is lightning fast and much better to use. Text is crisp and browsing the net is more speedy and satisfying. Games like this will be the cherry on top.
