Sorry for my english, i have a question, who wrote the music for this great game FM and will voice the characters?
Beta peeps: Look for grammatical errors, typos and the like. Nothing confounds my brain, like a sloppy narrative. Tato, I'm not saying your narrative will be sloppy (I'm speaking from past iOS experiences).
We actually signed up months ago haha. I really dislike grammatical errors and grammatically incorrect phrases and such as well. So I'll watch out for those. The most important part is for the story to sound good, after all.
We have an ultra talented English ninja ho won several writing awards. He will be fixing localization bugs, grammar and spelling errors! You may provably know him, he already posted in this thread. But yeah, once the beta is open, give as much feedback as you can.
This game definitely looks interesting ^^ I never heard about it before today.. but now i'm looking forward to it.. The only thing i didn't like in that video was that yellow sparkle showing that you can pick something up there... It's too obvious that way... I wonder if this game will manage to scare me... The only iOS game that managed to do it yet was Papa Sangre, played in the Dark at midnight when everyone was sleeping ^^
Hello littlezoe and tanks for the comments. Well that was our first pre-alpha build, the game have been improved and a huge amount of stuff have been added also. We've put that yellow sparkle back in that time because we didn't had all in-game items ready. But the final version of course will have all 3D items (coupled with a new exploration mode to spot very hard to see items like small keys). Don't worry, we are not destroying the survival difficulty/balance. The only thing we are making it easy are controls/input/cameras, the rest will be pretty survival/hardcore. ^^ Once we reach the beta, I'll be making new videos showing all those new features and remove the old one. Cheers and tanks for the support. Appreciated.
Thanks for the response This sounds much better, especially the exploration mode... This will make the puzzle aspect of the game more challenging Is the release still sheduled for this year?
The game is highly interactive, lots of exploration, puzzles, riddles, item mixing, dynamic combats, evasions, etc. We got some interesting enemies (specially boss enemies). Most of their behaviors are really unpredictable and dynamic. Even on such small device Forgotten Memories will be rocking your pants off. ^^ We are making our best to finish the game for this Christmas but if for whatever reason the game is not ready yet, we will push the release date and polish the game. This project is a self funded project, we don't need to meet any publisher deadline and release an unfinished/unpolished product. It will be released once is fully polished. Don't hold too much your breath for December, January-February will be a more realistic release date. I'll be giving more details on the release date as soon as we reach the Beta state. King regards,
I hope I'll be picked for the beta! This game looks like it will be up there for one of the best of the year!
Just wondering, what will be the difference between iphone/ipod and ipad versions? Will ipad version have separate HD version?
The first release will be a standard version, exactly the same for all devices. The minimum requirement will be iPhone3GS (or itouch3G 32/64GB). Then an improved HD version will be released later on using the power of iPad2 and iPhone4S.
Hello, We are making sure the game interface (buttons, menus, etc) looks sharp and nice on every device but the game wont look any better on the iPhone4 besides having twice the resolution as the iphone3GS. You'll naturally get anti-aliasing that's all. However, the enhanced HD version will only be available for iPad2/4S. Cheers,
How long after the "standard version" will the "HD version" release? I'm quie puzzled by your decision, as you've been working on and have shown assests geared toward the iPad 2/4S. So, it seems you're interested in getting people to "double dip" and going to also pull a Fishlabs tactic. Stall the premium version, get people to buy the standard version and pay more for the better version, too. The difference with Fishlabs, was that when GOF2 first released, it did so long before the iPad 2 and such. So they upped the assets and rendering, to satisfy the new hardware, quite sometime later.... Forgotten Memories keeps gettng shadier, with every batch of details revealed. No thanks, not getting any of my money!
You don't even know the price neither when each version will be released or what they will contain. Stop your false comparing and assumptions please.
