    That is a great observation.

About the Video: The only thing I noticed in this video that bugs me a little, is that there aren't animations for when you hit the enemy, it doesn't feel like you're doing him any damage, some stuttering or twitching would be nice, nothing fancy y'know?

Enemies do have animations (scripted and procedural) when they get hit and for every interaction you make with them.
[EDIT] Speaking of hits, you can do critical hits when you aim at different parts of enemies bodies. Enemies have weak points that you can take advantage of. :)

Are you using scripted death animations or ragdolls?

Oh yes, with the guns they do, I can see that, sorry, I meant when you melee, a didn't see any hit animations, maybe cause it was too bright, but good to know they're there.

Scripted and procedural. On the procedural side, ragdolls are being implemented.

They may not make it to the top 25, but they don't have to – each sale of FF or TWEWY is equivalent of 10-15 sales of $.99 game. The list that really counts is Top Grossing, and both games spent a fair amount of time there. Minecraft, a $6.99 download, is currently #11.

In fact, pretty much anyone who pays attention to the App Store knows that the $.99 price point is getting harder and harder to justify from a marketing perspective – might as well go free and set up an IAP scheme.

Watched both Videos. Where should be sent our money again?

And even if the Game is Freemium where the first Chapter is Free and you need to pay for the other once I`m pretty sure everyone in this Thread will smash the Buy Button on Day One.

I really believe that the Developer shouldn`t cut out any Payment Methode to get the most publicity on the iTunes Store. They should really consider maybe even to release two builds of the Game.

For us Die Hard Fans of the Game who will pay whatever they will charge for it a Full Build that includes every current and every upcoming Chapter for something between $10 ~ $20 and a Freemium Build which charge you for each new Chapter like $1,99.

Yeah, I agree with Sanuku...you could go the way Saturday Morning RPG went and have both the whole "Free first chapter + paid IAPs for the rest" and a full premium priced app, but then I think it's a given that the premium version will be bloody pirated till the end of time. :/ I would totally be willing to pay for a "$10 ~ $20" version though...in a heartbeat.

The problem with IAP is that It's also hackable. Also, I'm not quite sure what's the hacking ratio regarding Premium vs IAPs. An other thing that scare me a bit is getting FM drowned on the Free list as there's more Free Apps than Paid Apps. What do you guys think? I need more feedback. :p

I think it should be paid, it being released free and having the rest of the game an IAP will get bad reviews on the App Store, they'll be saying "1 star, it says its free but you have to pay to play past the first chapter, I'd give it 0 stars if I could!" You know how irritatingly stupid some reviewers can be. You could sell the game for £6 and I'm sure you'd get mostly 5 stars as there's nothing to complain about

Indeed, getting the game free also means anyone can do a review based on what's available in the free version.

Don't forget Dead Space which was premium at $7 made it to top grossing up. Galaxy on Fire 2 with it's $9.99 price tag also stayed on the top paid app charts.

    Agree!
If you feel like FM hasn't gotten the attention it deserved or hyped like EA or GL games, then free to play for 15 minutes and IAP to unlock the whole game seems a good idea. There was a game Gameloft released back in the day (star front and some other RPG game) with 15 minutes to try the game and pay $6.99 to unlock the whole game. 90% of the reviews were 1 and 2 stars complaining about the IAP, UNBELIEVABLE! Good luck Tato, regardless of pricing, count me as a buyer;)

I don't think it should be paid because you know a lot of people will try and pirate the game.

It should be a free download with a one time premium price to avoid massive piracy.

All those little kids that put down one star for reviews for that type of pricing method are either 1. PO'd because they can't crack the game on their Jailbroken iPods or 2. Ignorant to the fact that this is a premium game, where the developer has chosen this pricing method to prevent pirates.

Yes , I know Minecraft was also on the top paid apps too and 6.99 is a big difference compared to 15.99 or 18.99 on the app store.

Although a sale of TWEWY is equivalent to 18 sales approx of a .99 cents game. If the price of Forgotten memories is for example, 6.99 to 9.99 their gross sales would probably be higher than if the game was sold at 14.99. At the lower price point more people would buy it.

I'm not talking about you or I. Personally I would dish out 15 bucks for this game but the average iOS gamer won't. Generally on the app market iOS gamers are cheap. They will either wait for the price of the app to go down, try and crack the game, or wait for the inevitable sale.

This type of mentality sucks btw, but it is the current trend on the app store.
