Didn't you see the gameplay video posted in October that's on the front page? Why go to all the trouble to create that if there isn't a game? It's not like they are asking for money or anything.
You must be kidding right? I mean trolling, yes! The one posted back in 2011 have nothing to do with the new one posted in October 2012. Keep trolling, you'll get banned sooner.
He isn't trolling, he isn't on TA only to be rude on this thread like you. He's politely speaking his mind. I won't attack him for that.
Well your comments are shorter and crying for attention, so that's why you get all the hate. regarding to the comment by MasterChief3624, is just as wrong as yours, but he's polite about it. Can't imagine what would console developers would do if the whole audience was like you two. Also I'd like to point out to MasterChief3624's comment: What has tatoforever put us through? What sort of despair have you two experienced to behave like such damsels in distress about an iOS game that will eventually come out? I lol at your irrational attempts of trolling, cause, like I said, you can build a career and earn tons of money advertising with legitimate proofs of the step by the development process of a game that's never going to come out... Cause it's also entertaining and harmless to put your reputation at stake by killing time with an elaborate trolling just to make us waste a couple minutes a day visiting this thread to see what's new, that's one evil mastermind. This must be Illuminati's work! D: *sigh* Keep ranting boys, you'll eventually get the game too.
Between Masterchief and idgean, you wouldn't know what to say here. Wonder where their perceptions of how a small team develops a big game comes from. Gameloft, EA and other big studios may have vast teams and massive funds to throw at something to get it out in a year but they don't seem to understand the definition of an independent and limited finances. And if posting on here by a developer is considered marketing by them, wow, I can't wait for them to join the real world and learn what marketing really is. Posting might have a pr value but marketing it certainly is not. I'm also a bit curious as why they both posted in a thread about a game they don't believe is coming at all. Surely if you don't believe in something, its not on your radar and you'd have nothing to say about something you don't believe exists anyway. Wouldn't it be pointless writing a long post saying it'll never come, or repeatedly trolling about the same thing if in fact it never will come. I (and obviously many others on here including those who know a lot more about gaming world than I do) believe the game is real and in development of course. I just don't get the stream of doubters who have to bring their own history (probably previous bad experiences) to this.
I don't see how the screenshots don't prove it's real enough, how do you think they made all of those screenshots without actually taking it from the game? It's really just as much evidence as a video is, and we've had a constant stream of screenshots. Can't wait for the video
Hey, Tato, I think the unicorn needs to look more "zombie-ish", maybe some green goop dripping from its mouth and horn, some fur falling out? Thanks
So... that long post a couple pages back, that was totally written by my second cousin, twice-removed. Okay, okay... so yes, that was me. You wouldn't expect it to be, as my personality on this message board is generally very neutral and kind, with positivity abound, and a very high respect for the developers that share their games with us, especially. Someone responded to my post, towards the "troll", that my opinion was just as wrong as theirs was, but it was polite. ...polite is absolutely not the word I would use to describe my tirade. Unless of course you were just being polite about me being a total jackass. That's a possibility too. I won't request the deletion of my rant, but I will apologize. I'm very sorry for bringing such a wave of negativity to this thread. It is true that that other person seems to be hell-bent on only posting negativity in this thread, and that makes them a troll... but what I did is not far from it, if I'm being honest. So I'm sorry to the fans of this game. I kind of flew off the handle a little in regards to the release of this game, and absolutely made a mockery of the developer. With that thought, I hop to the next one, like a frog in a pond, jumping on lilypads: tatoforever, I am deeply sorry for doubting you and putting you down as a developer. I made some very harsh statements towards you, and honestly I'm surprised I'm not banned because of it. I value the support of the developers on this forum, and have a very high respect for them. I took my impatience too far, a couple pages back, and I think it would be an extreme understatement to say my comments probably lowered your morale and initiative. It's rather ironic, actually.. I was just thinking about this: what makes a whiner think they'll help a game develop faster, especially when they pretty much verbally attack the developer? It's ironic because, I'm sure in a lot of cases, the developer will take those words to heart, and that can negatively affect the progress of the game even further. I'm a man of many rules on this forum, and one is to never put a developer in the hot seat... never humiliate or otherwise demean a developer for any reason, except when they do something truly wrong (ethically). I broke that rule in here, towards you, tatoforever, and I can't forgive myself for such a blasphemy. I am deeply sorry, good sir. Some may be asking: Why is he changing his mind all of a sudden? Did the developer contact him? Did squarezero warn him? Did he have a very Christmas Carol experience and meet the four ghosts of App Stores past? No... no to all three of these scenarios. The change in direction, and the change of heart, came from me, and me alone. I think what sparked it was that tato said the team was consisted of 10 people. I had a feeling it was a small team working on this project, but seeing the actual number right there... it changed something within me. I realized that any rationalizations I had a couple pages back were completely null and void. I could go on forever, truly, but I'll just tidy everything else up: I am sorry. I don't want to ruin this apology, but I have to still demonstrate honesty: I still have my reservations about whether or not this game will come out as expected in May 2013. I never doubted the existence of the title, though. But seeing how small the team is, and how epic of an undertaking they are putting themselves through, I don't doubt their integrity anymore. It's apparent they are hard at work on this project, and it will eventually pay off. So good luck on the rest of the development on the game, everyone. Sorry, again, for being such a mean-spirited disgruntled customer. It won't happen again.
I have to say that's very big of you. A very honest and polite response. I admire your modesty, honesty and maturity in relation to it. Thanks for that and well done for showing others how its done, being polite and honest in a reasonable way that is. (I only edited the quoted post so that page wouldn't be cluttered)
@MasterChief, I should admit that it's really depressing seeing negative reactions about our game when we spend all our tears, blood and time on it (specially when people knows little about our game). After reading your lengthy post, I was really touched (not sure if it's the right therm to employ) to the point that I've keep a copy of your post to my personal records and if you approve it I will immortalize it into our game as a gratitude of speaking openly honestly. I'm a very positive guy and i take any feedback very serious. If you feel something is wrong and needs us to take care of, you only have to tell me and we will do the rest. @to any one else, Tanks again for supporting us and being patient, patience is a virtue and will pay off. Warm regards,
See? this is what I love about iOS gaming, you don't get this kind of love from the devs in any other platform. Patiently waiting tato, regards!
