You don't have to expose the glitch over and over. You just have to glitch your final checkpoint once. So it is not easy but not that hard to do ... That's why i think it's neccessary to remove all flags when upgrading from 1.01 to any higher version.
I agree with you and that is what Daniel proposes in the end. As he suggests, flags <=N-2 need to be removed.
Wow, a lot of development has happened with this glitch issue! Glad you guys seem to have come around to seeing that all glitches are not equal, and patching the 1/2 shot glitch is the best course of action. Love the idea of soft-capping, as I'm pretty close to getting lower on another level. And with more levels planned, the current top scores will become outdated and we can get back to non-glitched top scores. The idea of flags resetting doesn't really bother me, because having a difficult flag set without having gotten the best score should be a fairly rare occurrence, if at all, right? Using the glitch to get legitimate scores is too bad, but it shouldn't matter much in the long run with more levels being added, and as it's been said, someone still couldn't do better than the current legit max. Thank you Donut Games for figuring this out with the players and coming up with a great solution moving forward.

Good to see you here, Dennis! Welcome to the wonderful world of Footy Golf. Breinstein: Good tip on how to use iMazing to back up save games (basically the "Documents" folder) from apps that don't have native DropBox/iCloud sync. A few words on the next update... I've been working with a couple of FG players (thanks for submitting your save games to me) to get feedback on the upcoming patch that caps unfair scores and removes all checkpoint flags that potentially could lead to unfair scores. And I think we're all set there. Plus the actual glitches that caused the problem in the first place are fixed, of course. I could roll out a quick update any day, but I rather wait until we have finished at least 1 new world so that the update also brings some new levels too. The initial plan, before this glitch was discovered, was to release 3 worlds in the next update, but given the situation I think a sooner "glitch patch + 1 world" update would be for the better. Also, there will be a few surprises that make it into this next update already. I expect to be able to upload it next week. Daniel
