I see you got all known points now. Hunt for new points is opened. The following levels possibly hide some extra points: 2:9, 3:11, 3:17, 4:7, 4:8, 4:13, 4:19, 4:20, 5:3, 5:6, 5:13 (in 3 ) and 5:16
Thanks guys! That glitch really made some levels a lot easier. Well done on maxing the current score cy@n! Thanks! I have to improve on 2-20 and your new 5-19 best.
Anyone any hints for me for 1-13, 2-20 or 3-16? Let me know if you want hints on any of the other levels...
5-3 in 1 shot and 5-16 in 3 shots confirmed! Do less than 100% for 2-20. Let me know if you'd like the percentage I used.
Oh wow man, you are impressive! I guess you and cy@n are perfect rivals each donut game has this pair of players who always improve seemingly unimprovable lol
Yes, please tell me... Spoiler I get best results with ping pong on a 45 degrees angle with 93-94 percent speed.
I wasn't successful doing it with that percentage, it kept hitting the roof. Spoiler So I lowered it to 92% and made it over to the left twice. My first landing spot was in the right edge crease of the bunker and I couldn't make the 2nd shot happen. My second landing spot was just a bit further left and I was able to get creative with landing the ball on a corner with the 2nd shot to make it over to the goal. I could only reach that same left bunker, but managed to get up into position with a different ball.
О_О you've got a new version of FG that draws a path after successful shot?!?! Btw, introducing shortest path points would be a seventh level of happiness at FG, right? ))))
I drove to Stockholm this weekend to watch the Kiss concert with my nephews, and forgot to check this thread for the entire weekend. Came back now and saw all the activity. Great to see even more familiar names here... We've been thinking about a replay feature, which if implemented would naturally be part of the Premium IAP, but there are a couple of things that need to be sorted out. First off, a linear WYSIWYG recording approach (think Fraps) would probably not be very desirable, and secondly, the checkpoints complicate things. To give an example: A player can start a course, knock away some obstacles, undo the shot by teleporting back, shoot the ball to a position further ahead since the obstacles were removed, leave the game idle for 5 minutes while speaking to your gf / bf / God / mom / dad / chewbacca, come back and put a new checkpoint flag there.... then quit the game, come back the next day, tap on the latest checkpoint to resume, fail 100 times (each time reverting to the checkpoint), then finally score! What parts of the process should be included in the replay? One way would be to only record the ball's air time, cutting away all idling and failed retries, but that would also mean ending up with replays that might look funky... icicles disappearing and reappearing out of nowhere from one shot to another. Another way would be to skip the video approach altogether and simply allow the player to see their path drawn as an overlay like in cy@n's pic. Maybe even show what ball, angle and power were used for each shot along the way. Would be interesting to hear your opinions. Yes it would, but the big downside is that is also opens up a whole new world of savegame file hacking. I realize that's already possible for jailbroken devices, but with Dropbox support I'm worried our games will be perfect targets for any fairly decent hacker to create tools that now appeals to the big crowd of kids that suddenly can import hacked savegame files really easy. While I understand it would be great for all you guys that have put in hours and hours of work to be able to "save your work", I'm also worried you would be the ones afflicted the most from a potential flood of cheating script kiddies. Hope you see my concern. We've actually joked about that. The same way you earn XP by finding the diamond and scoring goals under a set par, we figured what if you got 1 XP for each meter you cut away from a pre-set distance. E.g. if 45 meter was the "par distance", finishing the level in 43 meters would give you 2 extra XP. But to be fair, I don't think that complicating the gameplay with more parameters and goals would be right. Better save that for another game... Footy Golf 2 or Cat Physics 2 (no, that's not a promise )
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I thought about this as well. For me, the perfect solution would be to have a replay mode for level high scores. It allows you to launch the shots that make up the high score one after the other. For each shot the system needs to record speed and angle as well as the background state (erased objects etc) at the time of launch. In this way it reproduces the shots that make up the highscore, excluding failed shots. Similarly as "arrows to my best" reproduce high scores in cp. For me, the cool thing is not to see the path of the ball, but the actual dynamics. What do you think? PS: did he say cp2?
Oh wow, they still play?! I bet the concert was great! Thanks for this detailed answer. Well, I guess the path with the ball/angle/strength would be nice to have (and perfect if possible to save as screenshot in a camera roll... ) That naturally leads to the next feature request... angle _/\_ , please Yeah I see. Well, better fair play, and keeping the backups safe. Yeah, from my side was no more than a joke too ;-) Didn't have a possibility to thank you so far for another great title! I don't play now as a madman, like in old days, but it is nice to remember the feeling of competition for the high scores. Hope, more catters join. Do you plan on updating some older totles like Jailhouse Jack, maybe, within your ongoing update campaign?..
