These do look better! Maybe it's that the shading of the old one gave it more depth? Maybe the new sprites just look flat? Something is off. Actually.. I think I'm on to something. The new ones are definitely flat. You can see the original character is slanted sideways slightly. The new ones are just the side view which makes pretty much everything you do look stiff. I don't think anyone can call me a purist FF fan for my opinion though since I've only played the first 5 minutes of the game on my EMU. I actually was holding off playing it for this port but I wonder if it's worth it. Besides, this game is like 500+ MB and the emu is like... 12MB or something? Hmm decisions decisions..
FF purist tote this as the best FF, that really can stand up on its own in the current gen despite dated graphics. Then complain about the sprites.
I'm probably never going to get around to playing this but I'll get it for the memories........those were the days Maybe one day I'll have kids that will wonder what all the hype about FF was and I'll dust off the old hand device we used before games were downloaded directly to peoples brains
I don't care about this nonsense about graphics and art and poop like that I just want to play it ;_; baaww
Final Fantasy IV - The After Years has been reduced stating that FF6 is out soon. I am guessing it will be this week now.
They said "soon" three weeks ago D: Although I suppose that was before the show stopper glitch was known.
Coming soon usually means one more week for Square Enix releases, but I really hope this week as I can't hold out much longer without FF VI. Money was already put aside 2 weeks ago.
The android version came out 2 weeks ago, and since it normally takes around 2 weeks to get through apple's approval process here's hoping. Here's also hoping they fixed the game breaking glitch found in the android version.
Coming soon may mean a week for some developers but square Enix have been saying coming soon for months now. Just don't be butthurt if it's not their tomorrow night.
Hopefully the price reductions are more promising signs. Square Enix don't normally like to reduce prices for long.
The bug I stated, where you play as the general against kefka just breaks the game in half. No idea if they fixed it on android yet, so that could be a big hangup.
Been there, done that, and am not bothered by it enough to be turned off toward the game. As long as the the story, music, and gameplay are intact that's all I really care about. Besides, the rest of the game looks pretty good if you ask me.
