MW2 IS Rusher central. That's why I hated the game so much. Very little tactics for me (at least when compared to BC2). MW2 just focused wayyyy to much on Killstreaks and those annoyed me. If I want to get a chopper, I wanna fly it myself! lmao Treyarch specifically said they arn't going to make like a Nazi Zombies mode or anything like that in Black Ops. I guess they just wanted it to be with WaW.
I hope Black Ops bombs just so they realise it was Nazi Zombies and Nazi Zombies alone that carried WaW. Then maybe we'll get a spin off.
I honestly think it will anyways. It doesn't look that appealing to me to begin with, but then again I am burnt out of the CoD series since BFBC2 graced my life.
I like how everyone who stands in a bush a mile away from the objective for twenty minutes at a time sniping calls that being 'tactical'. Rushers in MW2 don't last too long in fights since they're out numbered, and have weak, low ammo weapons. If you're paying attention you should get them every time. I prefer running from cover to cover quickly. It's fun, efficient, and tactical.
Depends how many people are doing it. If the whole team wants to snipe just because they think it's cool, they're fools. Sniping in itself is highly tactical though. That's everyone then. Average life expectancy in MW2 is less time than it takes me to urinate
How is sniping tactical? All you're doing is getting kills. The only time it is tactical is when your team is adequate and defending something. Which is rare. Like if Im playing demolition or that bomb planting variant in BC2 and I'm sniping, Ill get a high KD, but I'll never actually help my team win. Soon as your team is in a building, you're completely useless. Running in there with a pistol is just dumb since you have like no ammo in it. I guess going with a team to pick off the other teams snipers are tactical, but no snipers ever go out from their comfortable bush these days. lol have you ever tried all out rushing? Like light weight, marathon, MP5K on scrap yard? 4 second life span max kill streaks are nonexistent.
You realise snipers actually exist in the real world, right? If they did nothing, they simply wouldn't. If you're not helping your team win by killing enemies, keeping them distracted and away from the objective, and just as importantly... taking out the enemy snipers... then it's because you keep missing the shot.
Imo, WAW had the best campaign. It was gritty and gory like the real WW2, and quite realistic imo. But COD4 had the best mp.
Finest Hour and Big Red One were pretty popular when they first came out. In fact, Finest Hour basically revolutionized WWII FPS games. While Medal of Honor started WWII FPS's, Call of Duty took them to a different level. I remember being amazed watching my friend play Finest Hour when it was still a new game. Big Red One improved on that even more, and became one of the best shooters of its time. Just because it's older, doesn't mean it's not a major title.
Modern Combat: Sandstorm - Best CoD right? But, seriously now. I think Call of Duty 2 was the best. Idk why, I just liked it so much. I completed the campaign on Veteran like 10 times. Never played online MP though, but always played Split-Screen with my buddies.
You can be strategic in either game. Obviously, that's more the focus of BFBC2's game modes, but if you have a full four player team in Team Tactical, you can relay orders and suggestions between each other creating a tight offense and defense. The same applies with BFBC2. The problem that's keeping the game from reaching its potential is the lack of communication. Don't tell me it's tactical unless you have a full squad that's being resourceful and helping each other out.
This is true. I mostly play Squad Rush with friends, and we have a well diverse team. It usually will include a sniper though, as it is great to have one keep a close eye on the objective (whether defending or attacking) and pick them off if necessary (and providing that annoying mortar strike if we need too ). Then the Medic, which is key to any squad. And usually we will have another Medic and an Assault, or depending on how terrible the other team is, 2 Assaults. We never have an Engineer in Squad Rush since they aren't as resourceful with such a small game. I never play with people without mics when playing Squad Rush though. Ever. It's pointless, and the communication is absolutely essential. If I can't get a full squad together though, I just play regular Rush. It's rare that I play any of the other modes.
Stupid ipod. Okay I is on laptop now. Yeah I realize snipers exist in real life and are very tactical. But this is a video game. I can take my USP.45 and kill a sniper with half a clip from across the map. You can't do that in real life. Snipers honestly don't bother me ever, since everyone who snipes usually sucks. Also, snipers in real life can be any where, in video games you can find them pretty easily. UAV, or watching a killcam, or seeing him incredibly easily, or looking at the usual sniper spots, watching your team mate get killed by him and follow his tracer, etc. In real life, when a sniper kills you, you can't tell your team where he is, or respawn and go kill him. Once again it depends on how good your team is. If you're all set up and tearing the other team apart with your sniper, but then that one guy finally get's into the base and destroys your whole shitty team, you can't snipe him. You can't even reach there in time usually, making you useless. For the most part I love sniping, but it's not tactical in video games. The only tactic is to just kill everyone, then they'll get distracted. But that's about it.
Cod 2, it was my first xbox 360 game and I loved how easy it was. Plus I like how there weren't kill streaks but then I'd say cod mod 2 because it's the only other ive owned. And cod waw was aaight, but agree with midi an.
Well for a start, that's why I'd never attempt sniping in MW2. Killcam + tiny map = pointless. BFBC2 maps are considerably larger with more options available, in the right circumstances the "typical" sniper spots could be about 30 different places from your field of view. When you happen to spot the place the shot came from, chances are he's moved already. I'll admit it's overused, I've been in teams with 8 snipers and not one of them can get a kill. I'd say one or two is best, provided they can actually do it.
Hardcore for sniping is the best. Silencer + Cold blooded, still a one hit kill. No kill cam, pistols are assault rifles. A team full of snipers is annoying. You have to spawn so far back in the same spot. Plus one guy rushing them can take them all out. My friends made a squad and it was pretty sick. One sniper, he wasn't that good, but since everyone else distracted the enemy he was really effective.
