Favorite cod game

You like making threads don't you? - I voted WAW because that is probably my favorite (so far) and I think Tryarch did an amazing job (better then IW). I look forward to Black Ops.

Voted COD4 cause that's the only COD I've actually played.

 

You're missing Call of Duty: Finest Hour and Call of Duty 2: Big Red One for the PS2 on the list. They're completely different from their PC counterparts, and I think that I enjoyed Big Red One more than I'm enjoying the 360 version of COD2 (which is awesome as well).

I'm tossed up between either Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, which I played almost obsessively until I almost beat it (my friend wanted it back before I could finish the game) and Call of Duty 4, which has one of the greatest single-player campaigns I've ever played in an FPS. It's a shame the same effort didn't go into MW2's campaign.

If you can edit the poll, though, go back and add Big Red One, I'll vote for that. Otherwise it's COD4 for me.

I voted WaW because A) They did WWII like no one else could, plus I loved everything about the camp (the co-op was awesome as well) and the multiplayer (Every Map, Weapons and attachments). Everyone hated it and I'm quite surprised it's in the lead but it's my favourite. Next would be MW, as the campaign and MP are right next to WaW. Sad to say that MW2 was a joke for me.

 

CoD4, because obvious answer is obvious, and some crappy under-developed zombie mode can't save a bad game.

I really did like Nazi Zombies though. Get 4 friends in on it and a 30 pack of budweiser and you have yourself a little party. hahahaaha

 

Yeah Nazi Zombies wasn't terrible, but it just made me wish it'd been a fully fleshed out game of it's own. I liked it more than the SP and way more than the regular MP so it was annoying to see it restricted.

 

What about COD:MW:Mobilized?

 

WAW was the darkest and stuck to the truth when it came to other games. I don't see how it was bad.

Cod4 for me. Only played 3,4,5 and MW2. I agree with Midian, if zombies was it's own full game it umm would be awesome.

 

I'm saying that even though the story was fictional, they had a few hints in there. Plus the Saving Private Ryan names was awesome.

 

But it wasn't... it was part of a full game I already paid for. EVER BETTER! lmao

 

I decided to vote for World at War. I like the way Treyarch decided to hold nothing back content-wise, how it was much darker and grittier than any other WWII FPS I've played, and just how well-made it was. Nazi Zombies just helped to seal the deal for me. Whenever I'm at a friend's house of playing on Live, I end up playing Nazi Zombies more than any other game. I havn't gotten to play the regular multiplayer that much, but it seemed on par with Call of Duty 4's mp.

 

I only rented WAW, beat the campaign to start off (which was amazing), tried the Nazi Zombies and thought it was awesome! And then moved onto multiplayer, and not having played any COD games at the time didn't really understand it, so kinda gave up on that and played Nazi Zombies to my heart's content. And later on bought MW2 (second COD game) thinking it would take place in a REAL war and not some made up sh*t and was greatly disappointed. Multiplayer was fun until I bought BC2, then everything changed. I realized how boring and dull MW2 was compared to BC2. I saw the light. So my vote goes to WAW, but my favorite war fps is BC2. Thank you if you even read this entire thing

 

Even though this isn't a BC2 thread, I feel the need to say: Amen brotha.

 

They really oughta make Nazi Zombies a downloadable XBLA title, kinda like what Valve did with Portal. I'd drop $15 for that puppy as long as they added some extras. Free DLC or something. As for Black Ops, eh, Vietnamese Zombies isn't quite as catchy.

 

Godamn BC2 is full of camping ****s who keep reviving you even though you don't want them to. It makes MW2 look like rusher central.
