I think Midian owns a 1st gen Itouch that runs like crap when running 3 d games so to sour grape he hates on all things 3d on the iphone OR he's an Indie devs best friend so instead of his friend learning to maximize the iphone's potential justifies that 2d graphics is the way to go
Hmm, that seems kind of lame... I definately support the Indie Dev community (ive got my eye on Tower of Babylon right now).. (that would have made an amazing appvent calander game) in my eyes, this seems like a way for dev's to push their 1g graphic games back into the spotlight
Maximizing the iPhone's potential means not releasing games that don't perform/control very well, unfortunately a lot of 3D games suffer from one of these. Either that or they're just unbearably short. I don't hate 3D games (and I have a Touch 2G), but the iDevice is simply not a very good platform for them. If someone releases a good-looking 3D game that performs and controls well then sure, I'll support it.
the hate in this thread has been amazing... I have to shut-up because I dont like the games on this obvious promo? I feel like they picked a bunch of games that were trying to be hidden gems but failed.. I also think its funny that because its Free I can't even have an opinion/cant have a harsh opinion/and that the developers are missing meals and getting their wings to heaven when this is just a big PROMO... do you think any Dev would sacrifice profit for this? Hell no. Seriously makes me laugh. see second paragraph.
Are you sleeping when COD Zombies and Nova was released? Those games look and controls better than any PSP FPS. Touch controls gives you total control for aiming ( almost mouse like) while the psp only offer face buttons which is lame.
I didn't like CoD's zombie mode on the PS3 anyway, so even if it performs well on here it's just not my type of game. As for Nova I agree it looks better than most, I just can't be bothered with it 'cause I got bored with Halo and it looks too similar. Good examples though, I can't say I hate either of them, I just don't think I'll get much from them. But back on topic... if either of those games went free I'd download them, and if I still didn't like them I certainly wouldn't start a whole new thread to tell people they suck.
Well yeah. Who the hell complains about a free game. I didnt like a lot of those games and I deleted them without any regret.
Fair enough, still a matter of taste right? On a side not I think most of the appvent games are good and some are amazing like Mini Squadron, Iblast and Samurai but my complain is I ALREADY PAID FOR ALL OF THEM
