so the best strategy is to play in awakening for the whole of the first level and then save up gems in level 2 so that you can absolute awakening that end part and just rape face in score early on?
Unlike the xbox360 version, you will automatically switch to the normal awakening (over) mode when either your gems or golds are depleted in absolute awakening mode, and can not switch back to the absolute awakening mode automatically, so technically there's no such thing as "absolute awakening over". If you just want to deplete you gem faster at the beginning of stage 1, simply switch back and forth from awakening mode and normal mode quickly for several time.

Are you sure? I'm positive that going into Awakening Over while you still have Gold results in a higher gold drop rate from enemies. Try it out - Go through the entirety of stage 1 in standard Awakening Over, then do it again but in Absolute Awakening Over. You should see a large increase in the amount of gold you've picked up throughout the level.
I only play Stage 1 like that as i'm crap with getting score any other way. Don't do it through any of the other stages. Also, it's confirmed there is an Absolute Awakening Over. Ugh I finally figured out that you actually have to keep holding the button down for that to work you cant just activate it and then let go. Level 1 5,046,300 So I figure I can max out my score on levels 1 and 2 respectively now. Time to work on figuring out levels 3 and 4 for maximum scorage. Currently just playing with asagi because she is my lowest score at 164 million but every time I am about to finish with her I get a phone call its like a curse.
I must be doing something wrong. Only getting to around 18.5 million at the end of stage 2. You don't sit in awakened over like the first stage right? Even with a full 500 gem 1000 gold absolute awakening at the end with all the bullets going nuts my score is quite a ways off yours.
Break my own record: now 284 mil for Asagi Arcade mode! 5 lives at the end (suicide once at the beginning of stage 5 to avoid hatred-unbound Sasari) I just love the feeling of killing final boss instantly with absolutely awakened Asagi!
Something else for me to add to the advanced scoring section. Now i've got to find the best way to explain this... Bullets that are fired from an enemy, or shot from an enemy, are worth more points cancelled than suicide bullets created by absolute awakened. If that makes sense. If you shoot an enemy that doesn't shoot back at you during absolute awakened, it 'creates' a little spiral of bullets. These are worth next to nothing when cancelled. You've got the right idea. At that 'deck' part on Stage 2, with all the vehicles, tap the shot button to disable your weapon, then go into Absolute Awakened. Wait for the huge amount of enemies to start firing loads of bullets at you, then get stuck in and cancel them all out. You should find your score skyrocket. The most i've managed to get by that section is 25mil.
In case someone don't know, if you have >3 awakening over level and no miss before the stage 5 boss, her bullets curtain will become crazy like hell ( just try that in normal mode, gezz!) this is actually one of the secret achievements to be unlocked. Anyway, Beating this enhaced boss gives you no more merit than the trouble it causes, so I read from some Japanese forum/wiki that it's recommended that you'd better avoid her if you aim for score.
Now you see, I was wondering about this. I killed her in her Hatred Unbound form and got the achievement for it, but I swear I died before Stage 5. Does it just include dying on Stage 5? Or is it a complete no-miss throughout the whole game before it?
For 100 points I would assume it is a no-miss otherwise it would be worth less. BTW stage 6 phone call. Was well on my way to a new high with asagi(I hate her I just want to get her near my other 2 high scores). Absolute awakened asagi rapes the last boss form that hard? That is good to know because that end boss is the single reason my scores are not as high as they should be because I die to the last boss once or twice.
Ah that helps a lot. I was wondering because I swore there was like 700+ bullets on screen and my score just seemed really low for that kind of bullet hell.
For the X360 version, it's "no miss from stage1 to stage5". I don't know if it's the same for iPhone version, as I only met her once with no miss in normal mode, after that I always suicide before meeting her (sometimes in stage 4, more often in stage 5), and in my case I didn't see her again. That's all I know about it, we definitely need to clarify that.
