Now that's dedication! I got this huge blister on my left thumb from playing ps3 for like 6 hours straight a few weeks ago. Actually it was probably well over a month ago and it still hasn't completely healed. I remember looking at it and thinking to myself I needed a break from gaming
Eliminate isn't the first FPS. iFPS is the first FPS for the iPhone by at least 6 months. Incredibly over-rated and over-hyped game. BTW, the way you setup the poll actually made it look like less ppl think it is over-rated. If you just have a straight yes/no, it will show a clearer poll result.
Sorry, but there's no comparison between iFPS and Eliminate. In any event, nobody is claiming that it was the first FPS on the platform (that honor belongs to the ill-regarded Zombie Mansion). It's the first online multiplayer FPS that's worth most people's time.
If you actually read anything at all before you post, the previous poster claims that it is the first FPS. I'm just correcting that non fact. Well, in any case, you are right, zombie mansion is before iFPS and No, elimi-crap isn't worth my time at all.
I dont reckon its over rated, for a free game c'mon! It just had a lot of anticipation behind it. SO what? But the firing/aiming thing really sh*ts me. Im swiping to get an opponent in my sights and tapping to try and get a round off and it just moves the camera again or zooms in..... ugh. Fail. IMO: You should to play a few rounds against bots first to adjust and learn the games mechanics and controls. If it aint for you, then delete it. If you dont like the pay-to-slay options then dont buy any, wait till the next recharge. Fricking wingers.
The quote from itman in your post speaks about Eliminate being the "first online FPS." In your ridiculously over-emphasized post, you insisted that Eliminate is not "the first FPS." I was simply correcting that statement. As to whether I've read all the previous posts, well, I've been contributing to this thread for quite a while already; I may not have read every post carefully, but I've got the gist of most of the comments. Assuming that I haven't "read anything at all before post" is pretty asinine.
virtual thumbstick is limited for other genres n its a horrible choice for FPS, but i guess there isn't any better control for FPS games on iphone. But again, this is a free game so i can't complain
Tell me what´s horrible about it? You know what´s really horrible? Playing an fps on the PSP. The real fail is not taking advantage of the game settings. Turn off zoom (useless), turn on auto-fire, increase sensitivity.
That just had to be said. Aiming with the face buttons is just terrible -- which is why most 3D shooters on the PSP have auto-aiming features that make Modern Combat and Eliminate seem extremely hardcore. You want to see a "shooting gallery"? Try the Resistance: Retribution demo.
yes, to me it is overrated .. if iFPS have the same support as Eliminate, it might turn to an even better online FPS .. anyone of you play iFPS online?
lol ofc its overrated. if you have pumped in $30 of credit and feel satisfied with what you have then thats great. id prefer to spend the same on left for dead 2 which has unlimited online play and is completely uncrippled, for life! yes i realise its not portable online play, but its how i how personally prefer to enjoy these kinda games the more i see and read about eliminate the more disgust i have for it. nowhere have i read a ngmoco representative comment on the game as it stands, i hope it slowly fades away into obscurity when nova is released.
