I chose overrated. The controls suck, there is no team deathmatch or any good stuff, you have to pay for your time with power cells, when you quit a match it automatically subtracts 4 power cells WTF? The weapons suck except for the plasma and vaporizer. There is no chatting in game and plus you can't see your a opponents name till you kill them or at the end of the match. Maps are small!
I think the world is divided between people who think that Eliminate controls suck and those who've learned to dry their fingers between games . Considering that I have yet to pay for energy, only play my allotted time every day, and manage to wipe the floor with most of my opponents, I think it's pretty darn awesome. Sure, it doesn't beat Unreal Tournament on a PC, but it plays surprisingly well for a portable platform (imagine having to look with the face buttons on a PSP!). I'm looking forward to seeing what Gameloft manages with Nova and MC:S online, but so far I can't complain. Did I mention it's free?
Pretty much...this "controls suck" crowd is made of people inept to play the game...that went online and were completely trounced... One could say the controls really suck, if most people didn´t like them, and the game was a faillure...but it is not...the servers are always crowded, and most people are raving about the game So...just try and learn to play the game...the controls are fine, although they could have some tweaking...
I agree. I think it is smart for ngmoco to have the game released at its current state with the consumer hopes of added maps/game modes(CTF King of the hill etc..) This will keep our attention longer, anticipating what is coming and how awesome it might be. As if the hype for this game hasn't been overwhelming to begin with already. If there will in fact be future map packs and weapons or game modes etc.. the hype will continue. ngmoco did this all very smart and it is paying off. $$$$$$
It's a horrible game, waaay overrated, same as Touch Pet Dogs. But what these 2 games reveal is the future of the app store: We will have to pay for everything (updates included, not more lite versions) and it won't be cheap!!!
to respond to both of you all i'm gonna say is this game is nothing great, iv'e played it for what 8 days? the controls just don't fell fluid enough for enjoyment. and i play alright. i hate forum members like you two idiots who just like to assume and make this into an arguement. Oh, and don't respond back; you will just be wasting your breath
Not a bother to respond . The drying fingers thing was not meant as a dig -- it made a big difference from one once I realized that sweat on my fingers (from all the tension) was hampering the touch screen responsiveness. Frankly, I have no idea what I said that would prompt you to call me an idiot -- then again, some people don't need much to start getting abusive.
I think this game is great, but not finished yet. It can be improved, but it's FREE! This is one of my most played game at the moment.
At first I felt like the game was completly over-rated. Now after playing a little bit I enjoy it and I really like the fact that I am limited to a small amount of time. This keeps the game fresh and interesting. Right now I check in maybe once a day, play a few rounds then run out of enegy and level up. I wouldn't say it is the worst game out there by any means. Like any FPS shooter online, I have fun but grow quickly tired of people camping and just racking up points verse having a good time and playing the game for what it is. With some new maps and control tinkering the game could be better.
i have to admit, this game was awesome when it just came out and i was really excited but nowadays, i hardly ever play this. i might play once every few days and deplete my energy but nowadays, i just dont play this game much
I accidently sanded off the end of my thumb today. When I recovered from the shock, one of the first things I thought was "dammit, I can't play Eliminate now." Although, if it was really great, I guess I'd pull out my bloody nub and give it a go anyhow.
My three letter review of Eliminate: M. E. H. Sorry, I think it's just OK. I don't quite get the massive interest and hype. I've played a bit, and I think it's a bit of a novelty. If the MC:S multiplayer can keep the same amazing controls with game themed maps, then you're onto something.
