That's life though dude, supply and demand. The fact that a map is new and a different experience makes some people want to buy it at first, not wait until later. It's the same things with TV and cars (as well as all other products, but these are the most notable). You want a new Hi-Def TV, that right now costs $1,999.99. You don't have that much money so you decide to wait. A while later, after the original hype on the product has gone down, the company either has a sale or lowers the price to, say, $999.99. That's just the way the market works. Same thing for the car, You want a 2010 car which costs $30,000. Wait a year or two and it'll go down to $15,000, another year and it'll be $10,000.
I think we are in need of THE LINE. Here is the line: DO NOT CROSS WHILE CARRYING ANY STUPID ARGUEMENTS: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did I hear anything about a single player training mode? Or is my head playing games?
I've been waiting for a FPS multiplayer game like this to come out. It looks very cool, i can't wait to buy it
Anyone else notice...? Did anyone else notice on the new NGMOSHOW episode that the gameplay seems to have slowed down quite a bit from the previews we've seen on the other trailers and NGMOSHOWS? Also, I noticed a change in the joystick on the left. It's now very similar to what we've come accustomed to with Modern Combat: Sandstorm.
haha, so true. I just hope Nova get's released before this. That way, Gameloft will have announced and released 2 First person shooters before ngmoco;( has released just the one that they announced ages ago.
My breakdown of the most recent employee memo from the website All arguing aside, I just wanted to get this in here somewhere so now seemed like an appropriate time (i guess). Lemme know what you think... Maybe some will see what i see or might have different opinions (which is welcome too). I go through each sentence and wager my opinion only... Memo Begin: Stage 2 (KillTest) results 100% conclusive. (Obviously, stage 2 is done) We have all the data we need to begin mass human recruitment. (they finished everything and want to recruit humans i.e. they want to release the game to "future arsenal megacorp" employees) Employee compensation packages have been determined along with initial starting equipment and performance bonuses. (they figured out and introduced the credit system and what our initial armor and energy amount set will be) I firmly recommend final systems preparations to preceed immediately, beginning with bringing all data servers online. (they are ready for release so they want to bring the website online which was recent) These servers will be extremely advantageous to our recruiters. (self explanatory-we will constantly check the website) Unfortunately the rolling initialization will take time to bring everything online. (this would explain the three different timers on the website) Hopefully only having access to weapons data in the following weeks will not hinder my ability to recruit the best human subjects. (this means [to me] that we will only have access to information on weapons at first when they start recruiting. which is the first timer's box, so this is what we will be seeing first. but he hopes it "will not hinder his ability to recruit the best human subjects" which i believe means they will release the game when the first timer ends [don't freak its only my opinion]) In order for us to communicate effectively to our human AWE subjects during recruitment, I would like clearance to declassify the project and propose the public name ELIMINATE. (lol publicly announce the name is Eliminate, durrrr) You can view progress of systems initializing by logging into server 11-b. (the website is referred to as server 11-b and viewing "progress of systems initializing" is us drooling in front of the timers lol) Either way, can't wait. I still wish there was a HUD on the screen with statuses for bullets, a radar, and such.
come on Ngmoco. Please get the game out already. if you don't i will kill myself. This waiting for a mere game makes me want to bite someone's head off. GRRRR!
After analyzing the source of eliminate.ngmoco.com, I've not only got a picture of the blank website background, but have found out some other interesting things as well. Looks like they're waiting for october for the app store release...

09/14/2009
That's when the first countdown will end. 09/14/2009, or 14/09/2009, is tomorrow. Well, it is for me, anyway (I live in aus). For me, that timer's on 00:23:18:SS (seconds).

09/23/2009
When the next countdown will finish.

09/30/2009
When the last countdown will finish. Interestingly, that is the last day of September, which would mean October is right after that. Sorry, R.Antonelli, looks like you might be wrong about the release date.
Good find! I didn't think of checking that before, but I just did, and I think you just about found everything there is to see.
I actually dont think that the purchasable credits will make the game that much worse. If someone is a bad player, but they just keep buying energy to get the chance to earn credits, they wont necessarily earn credits (because they are bad.) And if a good player buys energy, they will be able to earn credits faster and get better gear, but eventually there will be a point when having more credits wont matter because everything is unlocked. So all credits will allow you to do is unlock things a little faster, but sooner or later, everyone will have the same gear as them. And judging by this reaction, most people wont download the purchasable content anyway.
But what if a good player buys energy and another good player didn't? For people with the same skill range what will spell the difference? This is why i keep on exposing the hell out of DLC, most people here don't have a clue. We can easily be exploited unless we equip ourselves with proper knowledge. This bad player vs good player example is very naive, a good player shouldn't be match with a bad player! It is also naive to think that there will be a point that everything will be unlock and money won't matter anymore! Is this the new ngmoco equation bad player+money=good player and good player+money=awesome player! Guys if you don't take my word for it read the IGN article.
i hope, i pray that credits will not just let just you buy armor and weapons, but also upgrade. my ideal scenario is that all suits have the same skill set (jump, speed, defence, melee powers) but each type could have a different max for every stat. for example, the flight armor could have Jump:_ _ _ _ _ speed:_ _ _ _ defence:_ _ _ melee:_ _ while the power oriented armor would have Jump:_ _ speed:_ _ _ defence:_ _ _ _ melee:_ _ _ _ _ and every upgrade would cost credits ANOTHER BIG QUESTION: will eliminate have plus+?
