Mine was the one with remote and mic. Do those earphones you people suggesting has any remote or mic?

Is it true that apples old earbuds are better than the new ones? The ones I got with my 2g iPod touch wore out in 8 months and I got a pair of apples old earbuds from a friend and they seem a little higher quality, the rubber around the wire is thicker and the rubber around the speaker thing is much tougher. I don't know, maybe it's just me. Also beats are great but kinda expensive...

  3. The UltimateEars TripleFi 10vi does (remote + mic). Interestingly, these have a modular design where you can unplug the phones from the cord. If you can find the regular TripleFi 10 (not the vi edition) cheap enough you can buy the remote/mic cord from the vi model separately for $30 direct from Ultimate Ears and save some cash. Unless you can find the 10vi's cheap.

Beats are ridiculously overrated and overpriced, like all Monster products.

They grabbed my 16 GB 2nd generation iPod Touch as well, so the bastard nabbed himself a pretty nice combo.

I needed some earbuds as well so I picked up a pair of JVC Marshmallows for six bucks. They might not be the best but I figure anything's better than the Apple buds I've been using which are breaking.
