pocketgamer post all the confirmed games that will be shown in E3 next week one game that intrigues me is this i would have been happier if it's Fight Night though i'm not really a fan of MMA coz i think it's too violent and not exciting i'll still look forward to this screenshots! edit: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
While I'd prefer a Pride Fighting (now defunct) or UFC game, I'd still let Fedor rear-naked choke me if I could have this!!!! EA will be my fav devs if they do this soon.
just saw in pocketgamer's E3 list,THQ will make a UFC game BTW,anyone can explain to me the difference between MMA and UFC? SID crazy said that it isn't UFC anyway, i'm not really confident with THQ,they haven't got anything great on the app store while EA has Sims as the only human close up 3d game most of their games with humans are not much detailed
UFC Undisputed(the game) has current UFC fighters in their game because they got the UFC license. EA's MMA game doesn't have the UFC license, it has a few UFC fighters, but I believe they're not with the UFC anymore or their contracts allowed them to get away with it. Dana White(UFC president) isn't happy with EA. Because of what he supposedly was told by them(Wiki): UFC president Dana White has declared himself "at war" with EA over the development of the EA Sports MMA video game. White assumed that he initially wanted EA to develop UFC 2009 Undisputed and remarks "EA Sports told us, 'You're not a real sport. We wouldn't touch this thing. We want nothing to do with this. He was quoted as saying, "If you do business with EA, you won't be in the UFC" They're both MMA games though, MMA stands for Mixed Martial Arts. Just like Backbreaker Football is still a football game, but it doesn't have the players like Madden does. I'm not interested in EA's game though, because of the fact that it doesn't have many of the fighters I love watching on TV. Long explanation I know, but I'm bored and felt like typing
Lol, yes I know. MMA has to do with UFC though. For ppl who dont know mma(mix martial arts) UFC(ultimate fighting champions.) Both very similar.
They're identical. MMA is the sport, UFC is one organization for that sport. Just like basketball - NBA or football - NFL, etc.
Kinda. Pride, WEC, UFC, and IFL are all technically MMA, but there are alot of different rules to each organization. UFC is probably the top dog for good now, but it wasn't very long ago pride was king in MMA.
Has anyone else here played UFC Undisputed? The amount of controls is insane, and there's a huge learning curve. Granted, once you get the hang of it it's a ton of fun, but I really can't see any way that an MMA game can work on a touch screen. I predict this will be a shameless tie-in that releases around the same time as EA MMA on the xbox, and will completely flop on the AppStore. That being said, this is all speculation and I hope I am proven wrong.
Yes, I have played Undisputed, and yes, there is a learning curve, but it gets so intuitive and the results have your mouth agape-like you can't believe you're pulling those realistic moves off-it looks so incredible! I can't possibly see how that can transfer to the handheld unit without it looking like Pillowfight Girls! Maybe they'll blow my mind and make me eat these words!! [I hope so! I'm a big MMA fan.]
first post updated with screenshots yah i know it sounds good but doesn't look that good i hope it'll look better in action
