Do we know yet whether this has already been submitted and whether we will be getting it this year ? If it gets released next week it will be on the 9th, and will compete head on with Infinity Blade (Illusia is also releasing on the 9th ...) You know Gameloft are known to clone many things but for 6.99 holy cr*p the games you get and the quality.... May they clone forever
I guess its ready. They just waiting for good moment to put that stuff in appstore. And the good moment will be couple days after infinity blade release.
Can i ask a rather dumb question ? But why is it that people would like to release same time or after Infinity Blade - wouldn it be better to release before that, and take all the customers that would of purchased that game instead ? (Say customers with 8 dollars in their account or less etc ). Both these games look INSANE, but you also have Dungeon Defenders to compete against and with three HUGE titles coming out .... you get what I'm saying Personally I cant wait for Dungeon Defenders and Dungeon Hunter 2, I am scared for Infinity Blade as well I haven seen any real gameplay and well the other two look just :O
I can't see any real benefits to releasing at the same time, other than a flood of traffic to the app store - if Apple put them on the featured page or 'Hot' or 'New and Noteworthy' they may get the same sales . . . just a thought. Is Gameloft going to ever us UE3?
Kind of an unrelated topic but did the first Dungeon Hunter have co-op multiplayer (wifi, bluetooth, or online)?
In the shadow guardian thread, I posted a Joystick article. Apparently the 3 titles from Gameloft confirmed for December and definitely before Christmas are: Asphalt 6, Nova 2 and Shadow Guardian.
I find myself pretty stoked for the uncharted clone. If it runs at a decent frame-rate and controls well, it could be sick. It may have replaced DHII as my most anticipated GL game.
Anyone beside me wish game loft would concentrate more on the iPad versions of games or make some exclusives for iPad? I think with it's bigger screen game loft could do more in an rts like add competitive stagecraft like online play that wouldn't work as well on phones due to frustration. There would be more room for complexity if they made it for iPad.
When the iPad released, Pocketgamer ran a story about Nova 2 being in development for the iPad first, then it would downscale to older devices. This was of course before iPhone 4... Fast forward, I hope Nova 2 and Shadow Guardian release simultaneously for iPad and iPhone/iPod. It's depressing, when games release weeks to months later. iPad owners want to play those games on launch too, Gameloft.
More info on DH2! http://www.intomobile.com/2010/12/06/preview-dungeon-hunter-ii-for-iphone/ If it's even possible, I'm more excited than I was before! can't wait for this.
