I'll give the update a try (after I back up the current version). My level 87 blademaster and level 90 sentinel already have max tier-97 gears, so I can live without merge glitch especially if they fixed other bugs.
It doesn't really matter. All development teams should release good, WORKING, and correctly working products.
Important Patch Checked for Merge Error. It is confirmed to be fixed with this update. Well, I can live without it. Bramble items, here I come.
yup, merge glitch is fixed with this new update. Oh well. The 100 free gems is a bait they use to entice you to upgrade. They even mentioned that in the update description. Haven't noticed anything different with the new version. I still don't see the elite mode for many arenas, or current objective indicator. For those who still want to use merge glitch to upgrade their gears, don't update the app. Also, the MP stats bug is not fixed either. My blademaster still does only 100 dmg even though it has well over 1M dps. I'm rolling back to the old version myself.
To entice to upgrade? Well, that pushes aggression towards microtransactions even further. 'Enjoy a thoroughly enhanced Dungeon Hunter 4 experience.' ^ Bugfixing and giving 100 free Gems to everyone doesn't enhance the game. You still should have gone and tied these bugs up BEFORE launch.
So they fix the one beneficial bug, but not the ones that screw you over? Classic gameloft. I won't be updating until all my characters have the lv 93 gear.
I never had the stats bug yet, funnily enough. But in the case it happens, I happen to have 6.9 mil on me so I can get a couple pieces of Bramble gear as a resortation. But I believe that, as theorized before, the stats change isn't a bug, but more of an anti-cheat tool. Either way, it is extremely stupid and makes the game absolutely worthless for multiplayer.
No point in updating right away! Rinse the glitch first! But oooooh, a free 100 gems from GameLoft to make you update. They could at least have stuck a new character in or a new area and cover up the fact they want you to splash the cash.... but no, its a lame attempt. From the AppStore description of the update "Enjoy a thoroughly enhanced DH4 experience..." REALLY? HA HA HA HAAAAA! I conservatively estimate about 50,000 gems worth that I've merge glitched - am on a quest to get all my charms to level 10, and merge glitching the various weapons/armour is best - am happy to play the ridiculous timers. Anyway, they offer 15,100 gems for £70 in game, but I've not spent a penny!
And got 29 million gold doing nothing. Shame you can't convert it to gems! It's partly from playing the arenas over and over, but mainly merge glitching, then selling the unwanted weapons / armour. I wonder how high the gold counter will go!
That is exactly what I'm gonna do, just sit there with the old app and keep merging happily. I don't think I would even bother keeping this App without those glitches
over 200M and still going up. Yeah, they think they can entice people to upgrade with 100 gems, but we know that the merge glitch is worth way more than that. I'll consider it if it's 2000 gems Plus they haven't fixed a single real bug I know of. Shame on them indeed.
They said that fixed the crash issue on certain devices. A friend of mine told me it still exists, which means that this development team is going to have quite a controversy on their hands.
I'm currently using the glitch to get tier 73 helms with 80% crit Dmg gems on them so that I can remove them, merge them, and equip +100% crit Dmg ones. It's a slow process, but its going to give me +800% crit damage, which will greatly boost my dps, plus it makes the vanish+grim slice blademaster combo even more awesome. Merging ftw Also, all of my new characters have had the face your demons quests show up before I've even finished the campaign, but I can't attempt them because I don't have the elite dungeons unlocked. After I beat the campaign, it usually ends up trapping me at the warmage academy elite, where the elite archives do not unlock after I beat the elite warmage acad. is there a way to fix this?
what level shoul i get a tier 70 weapon? im level 37 now. thanks ^_^ and i finished the last dungeon and it drags me to warmage what should i do now?
Has the progression glitch and the stats glitch been fixed in the update? Read a couple of pages back that it hasn't, but just want to know the other's experience Edit: also i cant connect to pvp ): seems like gameloft wont allow me to go multi unless i update. It keeps denying my access
