Everything stacks. On the inventory page at the bottom left, next to the buy button, is a pie chart(?) button. It breaks down your stats with whats equipped. Stacks on stacks homie! And ChaosProdigy, all damage causes Life Leech. Did I just become the DH4 resident know it all....I sure hope not.
observations so far ok im a level 18 archer. finished the first "arena" lvl with Ne'ethkin (bug type boss lvl 17) at the end of wave 9 i think. so far the best thing i can recommend is getting the lifesteal and a good dmg weapon. the 1st real boss is the same arena guy Ne'ethkin at the goblin tunnels. he is only lvl 15 in story mode. i thought for a second that this was the last boss but i looked further at the map and ive only touched the tip of the iceberg here. this game is huge! the 2nd arena opens up after the goblin tunnels. made it to the last guy in it (wave 9 or 10) and he is lvl 24. i can get him to about 30% life left before i die. this is without potions at all! pots take too long to regenerate so i havnt really relied on them. how ive made it so far is, rely on % life steal gems. i had that glitch happen to give me a 800 gem bow and ive upgraded it. sitting at 6000 dps so lifesteal is my everything as im tanking massive hordes 6 lvls higher than me with ease and almost killing act 2 boss in arena. wait timers dont seem like a big deal to most of you but its hitting me pretty hard now. minimum time i see now is 15 min. max wait ive seen is 1.5 hours. when your trying to manage small inventory space, its a HUGE deal. gems can be upgraded to lvl 10. most i have gotten to is 5. this takes precious inventory space for all the gems. money is not really a factor any more. i can easily start arena 2 and when i hit the wave 10 boss, ive gotten 30 to 40 k, just in the matter of 5 min. last piece of observation... unless you have a year to play on and off for the grind, this is a huge paywall game. if i didnt get this glitched bow, id be at the start. will report back soon with more...
Very insightful, Rhokk. Thanks for the update. Makes one wonder, why continue playing when the pay wall is so big and the better IAP items are so expensive? Have mobile games gotten so good that they are worth spending so much money on? I read one article where one developer had designed their game with the expectation of each players spending an average of $100 on IAPs. Are they better than the mega hit console games with a one time purchase of $50 to $60? I am not saying nor suggesting that DH4 was designed with the intention of drawing out $100 per player. However, it definitely isn't cheap and appears to go well beyond the standard cost of games in the App Store and what many perceive as "reasonable".
Where are you all getting these life steal gems, just random drops? I wish I could get a free weapon somehow like that glitch!
Also Lifesteal gems seem pretty rare to me. Grinding the arenas over and over get me gems as drops and gear that will sometimes come with gems in them. These need to be removed (wait timers). This is all random. Rarest gem I've received us a 1.5% chance to stun purple gem. Only seen one in about 6 hours of playing. Also there is no armor or defence stat in this game. Only added hp so don't neglect this stat.
Y'know, I think I'm going to spend the weekend getting crafting stones. Then when I get the tier 43 weapons, I'll be an absolute wrecking ball.
I would have to play it myself (wouldn't download when I tried multiple times), but it looks like something that I might consider buying for a flat $10 price or even $20 if it ended up being really good. However, with this garbage f2p model there is ZERO chance that I will spend even a penny on it. The same goes for ALL Gameloft games until they go back to the traditional pricing model they used when they first started.
There's no way that's going to happen. The freemium model is too successful. I guess the only thing you really can do is avoid games like this.
Looking through your posts, it seems some of you have already found a nice mix and match of charms and spells, which is great to hear Here are some more tips from the dev team: · Make sure you play the optional Arenas like Valance Courtyard- the bosses often drop crafting material and a good amount of gold to help get some good items in the shop. · You probably know this already, but if you dont merge you charms right away, you can stack several of the same level to save space. · You can earn Gems by playing PvP · And if you were unaware, there is the free lottery which has some pretty good payouts without having to invest any money Your feedback is important so keep it coming as we continue to investigate ways to improve the gaming experience!
I'd love to be able to purchase the game outright. There is a truly wonderful game here but it's hidden with all sorts of ways which hinder true gaming enjoyment. I find myself more occupied with money management issues inside a game that's meant to a be a enjoyable time. If you could bring up the idea of tiered games to the team? A game this fleshed out, multiplayer, different play styles, great graphics I'd easily pay a solid 15-25 for it to be mine and completely accessible.
Ok, for anyone who loves diablo type games this game is sick. The animation is top notch and the sound is amazing. The craft system is very cool too. You can upgrade all items , when you do this you also create charm slots. The multiplayer is good too. As far as the freemium part goes DO NOT FRET !!!! . I have played for ever 7 hours and not spent a cent !!! You health regenerates enough not to worry about buying potions. Also you get free potions every 4hours. At times i have had 3 potions in reserve. If you are low on health or you die , just go and grind at lower level mob because they keep dropping loot and gold. Trust me this game smokes.
I've enjoyed the game but it is a grindfest. I'm level 17 and haven't had any item glitches or any gems so my gear is pretty sub par. I did get lucky and get a tier 15 weapon drop (1k dmg) but my current best approach is to die repeatedly in the arena. For having spent nothing, it's been alright, although the prevalent IAP is annoying. I have had 2 level one bandit gems drop and I combined them for 1.5% life steal. I get more of those, I may be able to hang in there.
Ahh, finally installed and got a little time, gonna start with a ranger. Looking forward to finally playing. Hope it is cool. Seems like the comments here are on the good side, so looking forward to the cutscenes and all.
Well the free gem button is back, but you only get 10 gems every few minutes or hours or something like that.
every 24 hours. Random question: where do you unlock Dungeon Vestibule arena? I'm at goblin boss atm, did I miss it ?
IIRC, around 2-3 waves per area. then you get a life refill. there are 3 areas then the Boss who is also very annoying and equally difficult. Killed him as a level 11 ranger.
