Everything is top quality, from the presentation to the music and sounds. Controls really well. Tons of levels. No ads that I encountered (except for opt-in). Nice set of achievements. Lots of upgrades for balls, paddles, etc. Customizable controls - move the paddle with your finger by default, or change to touch left/right side of the screen to change directions. Here's the catch; you get a limited amount of balls. When you lose all of them you have to wait (timers) 10 minutes per ball. There IAPs for buying gems, but sadly none that magically transform this into a "premium" game. I haven't spent a lot of time with it - these are early impressions - but I'd definitely recommend trying it out! NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #5 NOEN, Mar 20, 2015 Hmm. You guys are fast :O Yes, we had to temporarily pull the game because of an important bug in the original version related to in-app purchases... Sorry about that. Thanks a lot for the positive feedback. We are not going to get a lot of downloads or money so this kind of thing helps a lot Feel free to ask any questions you have about the game and any other feedback is appreciated. We are interested in knowing how it plays in the iPhone 6 since we have not had the opportunity to test it in that device. That makes me sad because we don't have any kind of commercial aspiration... We included the F2P mechanics for two reasons: 1) we wanted to learn more about it 2) it actually improves retention in this kind of games: If you had unlimited balls, you would get bored much earlier 3) It did not feel right to release a game without monetization. Still this was an option that we considered seriously Still, we tried to make it fair by giving a good amount of balls (I can play a lot before running out of balls) and with the option to get more balls for free by watching ads. Is there anything specific that you dislike in this case? Or is it that you don't like F2P in general (an opinion I respect btw). Thanks a lot for your honest feedback NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #10 NOEN, Mar 27, 2015 This is actually a REALLY good game! It's the best Brickbreaker style game I've played on iOS. I guess my only issue would be the "ball cap". Haha. Love that phrase!..,.but yea, it's cool that eventually you get more balls, but it's one of those things where you hate being told when to stop playing. Also, the fire/ice balls are impossible to get without buying gems. It would be nice to have an unlimited ball IAP. I'm not sure if that would ruin the game or not. It doesn't ruin the game by all means. It's still an excellent game and I'm having a blasty blast playing it! It's worth the download if anybody is on the fence. I'm pretty sure I made a gameplay video on my YouTube Channel also. extreme472000 Well-Known Member May 25, 2012 480 3 18 USA #11 extreme472000, Mar 27, 2015 Last edited: Mar 27, 2015 Why would you delete this? After watching two videos and playing a few levels I bought the best board. Or maybe the best board needs to be priced higher. -The videos for gems worked twice in a row and now not at all. Not sure what is going on there. -I am hoping there are later levels with multiple animals because at one pink gem per animal it seems like it is going to take forever to catch em all. Overall, great job with the game! It's fun. ThumbSnail Well-Known Member Jan 13, 2015 102 0 0 One-Man Game Developer Under a Raincloud #13 ThumbSnail, Mar 29, 2015 This is top-notch all around: graphics, gameplay, design, sound, etc. And most importantly: fun! I, too, would prefer an outright premium option for unlimited balls. But the lack of that won't make me delete this game. I do wish you wouldn't lose balls when replaying a level you've already beaten (say, to get 3 stars). However, I don't know if this would break your monetization model or not as that would obviously swing it more in favor of the user. Regardless, great job on an excellent game! Qwertz555 Well-Known Member May 22, 2010 2,318 29 48 #15 Qwertz555, Mar 29, 2015 I'm not forced to buy anything, so no problem here with your monetization model. I'm a simple old fashioned premium buyer, who is absolutely ok with f2p+full unlock and a coin doubler once on a while (all restorable iap's). I never watch any ads, i never want to wait for a timer to fill up and i'll never dump any money in a bottomless consumable iap-barrel again. I want to play a game as long as i wish. Getting bored with your game? Not possible because i can't play as long as i'd like to. I lose a life without dying? Absolute wrong on my books. A gave it another go...after about 20 minutes i run out of lives incl. those special "pay to win" lives. NOW i'm bored, because i can't play more (maybe i simply suck at this game). Getting infinite lives would need you to change the structure, but you never intended this game to be different, but that's ok...it simply is what/how it is. I hope you make the deserved money, because i clearly can see the time and love you invested in this game, no doubt. TheGodless Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2013 207 2 18 #16 TheGodless, Mar 30, 2015 I wish there was always an option in games to unlock the full game for those of us that like to pay once and play and don't want to have to deal with timers. One of the main reasons I have found that people don't like f2p games is the arbitrary limit on game time. It may help keep gamers from getting bored so quickly, but it also creates frustration when someone want to continue playing and can't and it prevents gamers having long sessions when they may be wanting to have them. mstirso Member Mar 10, 2015 6 0 0 http://pncil.com #17 mstirso, Mar 30, 2015 Last edited: Mar 30, 2015 Thanks a lot for your support. I wanted to let you know that we are taking good note of your feedback and thinking of ways to improve. Just remember that we have very limited time to work on this game since we all have full time jobs! One of the most common complaints is that the game lacks a purchase to remove the limitation on free balls. My question is, what do you think is a fair price for that? NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #18 NOEN, Mar 30, 2015 Last edited: Mar 30, 2015 I would say a "fair" price would be $1.99 for unlimited balls and maybe another $1.99 for a coin doubler for people that don't want to grind? I honestly don't think that people will get bored of the game. There is so much to do. It's tough to have a limited amount of balls when you are replaying some levels upwards to 10+ times in order to get all the DNA from each level. You figure with the ball limitations, it would take months to fully complete the game between trying to finish each level and trying to get all the DNA. I understand having unlimited balls, the player could pretty much play through non-stop until finished, but there IS a lot of content to get through. Maybe you get X amount of balls to start each level. If you don't pass the level with the X amount of balls, you have to start the level over, but you have unlimited tries of each level after the "Full Game Unlock"? That would keep people from burning through the game and getting bored, plus you could sell extra balls as IAP in each level. It's the best of both worlds in my opinion. Thus, you're forced to restart the level. I've noticed this more in the later levels (60+) where there are a lot more obstacles and the maps are trickier. However, I've also had this happen on some of the easier, earlier levels. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #20 NOEN, Apr 6, 2015 Had the same thing happen to me a couple of times.
