If we're referring to iTunes user reviews, I think judging the game by its cover (iTunes page) would be more reliable, heheh. TA is generally pretty reliable as far as user impressions are concerned though :].
The countless amount of doodle games (Most of them being rubbish remakes of normal game) has ruined the app store.
The Poll is not really correct. You should have added a option like, Yes i like some doodle games. At the moment it is just either a straight yes or no.
yeah, TA is the most trustworthy place for opinions. If someone here says it crap, then most likely its crap. If someone says its good, you'll probably have a joy playing. But then again, there are a few games where its split *cough*missioneuropa*cough* Exactly!
Yep, no doubt the most stratified game I've seen pass through here in the past two years. Well, that's with the exception of Gameloft games. There's always going to be haters of Gameloft, no matter how much it does right.
Yup. I think Gameloft is doing a fine job on thier games. Yet people will still make up stupid excuses as to why it sucks: "The green should be darker!!"; "Thats a stupid name for a game"; "Why does it only have 12 levels?!". Its a shame.
well the question is "do you want more doodle games?" referencing games for the future. i do agree that there's some good doodle games out there, but the category is overcrowded with crap nowdays... which means that i feel inclined not to see anymore of these for a while, and enjoy the ones i already like without getting bombarded with poorly made clones.
What differs good games from best games, in terms of art style, is: Good games have a good art style and gameplay, best games have a good art style that perfectly fits to the good gameplay. If the gameplay involves the user drawing sth onscreen, e.g., a doodle style would be awesome! Unfortunately, as being said here, the term "doodle" is "used-to-death" by all those countless uncreative copies of doodlejump and so on.. cheers
