My newest game is in submission, thought I'd post some screen shots and a video link. DizzyRoids came from me trying to think up interesting ways to control a game with the 3GS compass. I decided, what if you took Asteroids and made it so you had to actual face different real-world directions to turn the ship. It turned out quite well, the compass is pretty accurate and reacts fast enough for the game. It's pretty hilarious to hand someone your phone watch them play it- as they turn around fast to try to zap an asteroid coming up behind them And it definitely makes you dizzy if you play enough! I also added touch screen controls for older iPhone and iPod Touches without a compass. You still have the actual universe spin around you, instead of rotating the ship, so even then it can make you a bit dizzy Here's a video showing off the different control modes: If all goes well, hopefully we'll be in the store in a week or two.
