You're a special agent in the future where biological manipulation through limb replacements or nanomachines can change human lives. As an agent with these "augments" (like your vision, which is augmented ), your mission is generally to infiltrate other corporations for the benefit of your employers. Human Revolution was centered around a man, Adam Jensen, who is thrust into action as a cyborg to battle terrorists and anti-augment revolutionaries. Deus Ex is a bit more extreme, but I never beat it, so let's not go into that. Invisible War is just stupid. Gameplay is okay, but not great, but the plot is full of blatant bible allusions. If The Fall is anywhere as good as DE:HR was, you're in for a treat.
To get an idea of the kind of world that awaits you, I'd recommend watching the original Deus Ex: Human Revolution trailer. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Still one of the best trailer of all times. So, so good. They seem like bullshots to me though. No way the textures and the anti-aliasing are gonna be that high in the final version.
guys go to the video and like it to courage the devs ... I hate those guys disliking the video even before trying it because its on a platform they dont like ... i want to punch everyone of them right to the face
Do you really care about these morons, who have androids or vitas? They are just to primitive to understand, that this game is only for IOS, and their dislikes won't change the situation, and also kidding about fall and fail won't help. But maybe we'll see something interesting on E3.
Thanks for the synopsis and trailer guys, looks like a neat little cyberpunk world. I can already see the microtransactions for augmentations... Honestly I'd rather play this on PC.
Honestly, I'd rather we don't touch that topic with a three-foot pole. This is a forum for iOS games, not some petty debate.
Haha read those IGN comments. Their tears sustain me. This is indeed set in 2027 and directly follows the book "Icarus Effect". I'm gonna give it a read as its an easy excuse to get back into this world.
Most IGN members hate mobile gaming and they even state that those who play games on mobile aren't considered gamers. IMO, if they take a 5min break from their CoD or BF4 match and actually browse Appstore game section, they'll have to reconsider their statement . Some hardcore games I can list are Infinity blade, Chaos Ring, Warhammer Quest, Horn,etc...
Indeed, those guys hate all mobile enviroment and even playing really good games like you mention they simply appeal to touch screen devices are awful for gaming or a great game isn't great at all and it's pure graphics. Honestly I think it's about get used to the controls and be supported by the developer. I'm beating Max Payne on Dead on Arrival in my iPhone and it's quite difficult as the game itself but the settings allowed me to beating already and the touch screen doesn't screw anything.
"Deus Ex: The Fall, the newly announced iOS extension to the popular sci-fi franchise, is the first installment in a projected series, and will take six hours for a single playthrough. Available for a one-off price, it will also feature in-app purchases." "It is a true Deus Ex experience - it does contain action, stealth, hacking, social interaction, choice in gameplay and consequence." "Deus Ex: The Fall's structured like its cousin, too, featuring a fully-fledged campaign and missions. It'll be available later this summer for a one-shot price - although it will also contain in-app purcases. "Just to clarify that, once the players purchased the game, they can play through it, through new game plus - they keep all their gear and augmentations, and you can unlock everything without paying a single penny more," Wright said. "If the player wants to accelerate their performance, however, then they can. Everything in the game is purchased with credits, and they're awarded via loot and meeting certain conditions. So with the IAP, the player can purchase additional credits buying real-world money - and with that you can buy Praxis, ammo, additional upgrades." http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-06-07-deus-ex-the-fall-is-six-hours-long-the-first-of-a-series-and-will-contain-in-app-purchases The game is being developed by N-Fusion, the makers of Air Mail in conjunction with Eidos Montreal.
Hate to sound like the blind optimist but if there is one game that suits IAPs for enhancements it's Deus Ex
Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel I love how they brought everything from the console/pc version. It's the real deal A really good preview at Pocket Gamer: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Deus+Ex%3A+The+Fall/news.asp?c=51413 Some excerpt: "Mike McCann, who composed the sumptuous sci-fi score for Human Revolution has provided some custom tracks for The Fall, and recurring characters are voiced by the original actors." "Some bits have been streamlined to better suit the interface. You don't need a 'run' button any more (just push the stick all the way), there's no 'jump' (but you can still vault over objects and climb ladders), and you can't drag bodies (instead, bodies disappear after some time)." "Speaking of which, your inventory is also a shop, and you can buy or upgrade any of the game's 29 guns, or buy items like revive packs and energy bars directly from the menu. And, yes, you can top up your credits with in-app purchases.
Please oh please keep that soundtrack! Man all the stuff looks just like Human Revolutution!!! So amped
Wired UK have posted a preview and screenshot gallery. "The Fall: Square Enix brings Deus Ex to iOS, and it's amazing"
