    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
It seems like most people are either ignoring or forgetting Minigore altogether. Sure, it wasn't the first or most advanced dual-stick shooter, but it was a ton of fun, has and is still drawing in tons of fans and followers, and has had more cross-promotions than any other game out there.

I'd also add Zenonia to the list for being the first really successful RPG on the device, and started the huge ARPG craze.

We should make a list of all the games that people have agreed are influetial. I'll try to make a list on this thread later, and if we agree, I'll make a thread about it if you guys want.

Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor. That game won so many awards, and it had the feel of an indie gem.
Rolando was the first PSP quality platformer for the device.

The games that I consider to be most influential include:

Zenonia 1: first well-made RPG in the appstore, though it certainly had its flaws, it allowed the iPhone to be seen as a capable device for RPGs, although Inotia came before it, I don't believe it spawned as much attention as Zenonia

Real Racing: Wow, when this came out it really blew my mind away because it was one of the most visually impressive games at the time, and being a realistic racing game was even better, this game really pushed the graphics capabilities of iPhones at the time

Modern Combat: Sandstorm: This showed that FPS's on the iPhone could be done, although still imperfect in many ways, and would later be followed by influential FPS's such as Eliminate, N.O.V.A., and BIA2

Chaos Rings: Never have I been so impressed with an RPG on the iPhone. Looking back to when the iPhone first started, and then realizing that my first iPhone was now playing games of such high quality is very mindboggling. This game continues to impress me, and with its success at such a "high" price, I'm beginning to believe that this may allow for developers more "premium" games at this "higher" price point, although imo, I still believe that the price is low for such a great game. But hey, I'm not complaining.
