I don't think they would have bothered with updating the current version if they planned on replacing it with this new game.
As much as I dislike what FTP has done to gaming... Crazy Taxi is one of my favorite games of all time. Right below Shenmue. So, like the long ago defunct Shenmue Online, as much as I don't understand the direction that's being taken with this game... I'm still on board because I love the series. I can imagine a cross between CT and Subway Surfers could be fun. Hopefully there aren't any wait timers. As for this port of CT, there's nothing freemium or admium about it... it's the Dreamcast classic on mobile. Don't hesitate to get it. I was happy to throw $5 down on this when it launched.
Wow. Now I feel bad for not buying this earlier. It's a great port! Even including the original soundtrack! It brings back some Dreamcast memories. I'm impressed.
When Reicast finally finished compiling (frontend coming on nicely) I'm going to try the ROM, and compare the two versions original & port. See which I best
It was an arcade game first but an easy port to the dc because it was Naomi based (sega arcade system based on the dc). The DC port added in the crazy box levels, the second mode and the options.
