Hey guys, I recently got a new dell laptop and have been looking at security. It comes preinstalled with Mcaffe, but frankly I think it is a poor system. It seemed to never do anything on my desktop, and didnt manage to stop a really nasty virus that destroyed the computer to the point where it needed a factory restore (and no, I wasnt downloading porn ). After that, my uncle downloaded the AVG free security and said thatll work very good. So I just uninstalled Mcaffe and put AVG on my laptop. What do you guys think, will it do the trick? What do yall use?
Download Sygate Personal Firewall, it helps to see what programs are trying to connect to the internet.
I have used Panda antivirus since it came out. It's free and I think it only uses 128 kb of ram or something because it processes the virus checks through a server.
