My bad... that should have been two sentences. I meant yes to I got it working. just had to mess with the test file. Not commenting on the game is because - aside of the art style, I don't have a lot of positive things to say about it.
If Com2us gets back to me about switching their mobileprovision file to include my iPhone 4's UDID, then I'll get some pics and video up asap. Just waiting on an e-mail response now.
What devices are compatible? By compatible I mean actually playable, not launch-able, since all of Gamevil's last releases were launch-able on older devices, but had framerates of like <5fps, thus unplayable. Is it universal?
I'll be looking forward to it. The screenshots look nice, but I can't be sure what the game is all about until a video is posted.
I wouldn't say that at all. Caligo was deeper than this. This is more like a watered down version of Blade Master with less enemy variety and no map exploration. In fact, the weapons and attacks are very similar. I have so far found this very very repetitive and the enemies can all be beaten with the basic attacks of the two handed weapon. I only got 5 missions in and then stopped. The art style is amazing but it feels like everything is going in slow motion because it is animated so well. It really does look pretty even though there is little variety on the screen so far. I was also hoping for some equipment visuals but sadly there are none. I am not really having any fun with this so far. But I am guaranteeing this will be right up a lot of peoples ally. Its a very base hack and slash. That is setup in smaller levels for pick up and play.
Bah, screens look like the Hybrid Games. Which I didn't really like, BTW. Why does Com2uS never do 3D games, only 2D or 2.5D games?
depends on the price.... for a dollar or two this seems alright at this point, but so far, it's a shallow game hidden under a basic KRPG (level up sp. attack buttons, hack and slash around a level until the enemies die out). But when you upgrade equipment or weapons (which are pirate-themed, but your character is a shirtless ninja-type), it's not visually apparent, which is disappointing. and for some reason, there is no story whatsoever. You kill your girlfriend (ala Pro Zombie Soccer) in the 2nd level, and it's not even mentioned. so far, ive seen razor-teethed worms, zombie people, hunchback of notre dame types, flying bugs, and bugs with mouths... its all very random without a story.
I'm having fun with the game. Yes it's a basic hack and slash which gets kinda repetitive, but I'm still in to it. I running an iPad and the game seems to be universal. The beginning of the game made it seem like there would be more of a story... but after 15 levels I still haven't seen another cut scene. I love the sound track that's why I want it to last longer. The graphics are clean but they are nothing to special. I would price the game at a max of $3.99 I have run across a couple of glitches. 1. When I'm about to use a skill and I get hit by a critical, my skill gets canceled, which is fine, but for the rest of the level my skill buttons don't work. 2. In the third arcade mode the zombies spawned but they didn't move or attack and I couldn't attack them.
Heres a short vid. Dont worry about the choppiness. Its just the display recorder settings I was using. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb5eqrRfI90&feature=youtube_gdata
